I have an 8000T. Not sure what the T stands for. June 68 with a G stamp. It runs shortly and stops. Ill try the vigorous wind for 5 minutes. Thank you. I too would like to send it to you since it was purchased / owned by my uncle who passed in the conflict and I need it treated with respect.

Very interesting experiment. Do you think that Seiko did not originally put in a thicker mainspring because it would cause extra stress on other parts and cause them to wear out faster?
