Why take multiple taxis? Is it cheaper, or do they tend to only service specific areas? What would be the rate to hire a driver, or would that not be economically feasible for regular errands?
@mahawadiaby68273 жыл бұрын
Moving to the gambia, vans and sharred taxis are cheaper but u will have to change them as they only do certain destination u can always take personal taxi for example from her departure to her arrival, personal taxi would've been around 300 to 500 dalasis or more whilst with vans and sharred taxis maximum will be 50 dalasis, it's tiry but saves a lot
@African_Adoptee3 жыл бұрын
@@mahawadiaby6827 Thanks, that’s what I thought. Do you know how much it would cost to have a personal driver twice a week? I can’t walk long distances or take public transportation, unfortunately.
@wilsonjean77453 жыл бұрын
@@African_Adoptee when are you moving to the Gambia? it seems like we would have to hire a Driver
@African_Adoptee3 жыл бұрын
Yes. I’ve factored that into my budget and am willing to be more conservative in other areas if need be. However, I’ll also probably bring a 4wd vehicle as well, since I want some type of independence. I’ll be there permanently by July 1, 2022.
@mahawadiaby68273 жыл бұрын
@@African_Adoptee u will have to negotiate the price with the driver(for example when he charges u 2000dalasis, negotiate to 1000 or 1500) but make sure u check his id and registration number and don' talk too much about yourself, also did u know that July is the beginning of raining season meaning flood in secondary roads, blackout, mosquitos and flies, in some areas transport is almost impossible with taxis as roads are over flooded, hope u are psychologically ready to affront these issues, anyway best of luck in your new life
