Hi Jules! Pro tip from a retired infant teacher, just paint the bottom of the baby’s foot and then stamp it on the paper! Then you get a clear print without any extra paint. Love you and your videos, and congrats on your sweet new baby!

Kudos for recording this video! Thanks so much for sharing! I appreciate your perspective on leaps. I'm 28 weeks now and it is soothing to the soul to see other moms making it through those tough stages in the beginning. I love our little pumpkin so much already that the idea of this love growing even further as she arrives and grows will make me start crying tears of joy! Congrats again!

I got mom wrist too! I just tried to be more conscious of the way I held him & it got better. You’re all doing great!!

This was such a great video! It’s very helpful to see what a night might look like with a newborn. Also, Physical therapist here- for your wrist, I would suggest wearing the brace at night only (if you can tolerate). If the brace is uncomfortable, try ACE wrapping (can google how) your wrist at night only and this should help calm down the inflammation/irritation.

Yup the wrist brace helped me a lot, and being conscious not to keep bending my wrist when holding the baby. I guess muscle rubs and stuff will also help. Maybe you can make a sleeve for the brace so it feels soft.

I always feel like we live parallel lives 😂 And yes! Wear a brace! Mom’s thumb is no joke, I just bared through the pain until it actually would come out of place. It was horrible. I would even pull a door handle and thumb would dislocate 🥲 my left wrist was so swollen that a ball formed. I wore the brace for several weeks before it healed and ball disappeared! This only happened with first baby! I started loving side laying for feeds and holding head with forearm and palm planted down on top of lap/pillow to avoid having it happen again. I still kept my brace just in case and haven’t used with my other two babies! 🙏🏽 Sending you so much love and joy in this motherhood journey ❣️

Aww, what a sweet routine to be able to look back on! For mommy’s wrist, sleeping with a wrist brace can help as well as wrist strengthening and stretching exercises. Being mindful of your thumb and wrist position while you’re nursing or when you hold her helps too. I used to kink mine pretty aggressively. Koala position can be a helpful nursing position to let your wrist relax. It should get better in the next few months as the relaxin leaves your body, and she starts supporting her head and torso better instead of you needing to do it for her, but if you feel it’s getting worse then your doctor can help you get a steroid shot for it. I had it pretty bad until at least 5 or 6 months pp with my first.

I’ve had issues with one of my hands/wrists while nursing and thought I was crazy! I feel it most in early morning. What I did was buy an Ace brand wrist brace and wore that as I nursed for a week or two. Super annoying but it feels so much better now! I’m 9 weeks pp btw and loved this video. 😊

Hi! Yes nursing mom wrist! I have it too and it’s so painful and I have had it since the beginning of pregnancy. My little one is 13 weeks old and have a hand brace and going to hand therapy. I do a lot of work with my hands and will be getting a steroid shot next week because the conservative measures of hand therapy and brace haven’t helped and I need full range of motion and strength when I return to work in a few weeks.

Impressive content, Jules Acree. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I tapped that thumbs up symbol on your video. Keep up the wonderful work! Your insights on navigating the fourth trimester are so relatable. Have you considered exploring how different parenting styles influence a baby's sleep patterns during this critical period?

I had the wrist thing! I actually forgot I did until you mentioned it. Histamine levels are higher so that’s why it’s worse then BUT I will say it went away (clearly since I forgot about it already 😂). I did wear an over the counter brace for probably a month or two on and off because it got unbearable for a while.

Hi, fellow Indonesian here! I also have a baby boy of 14 weeks, which has the same development milestones as yours. I am at a period where if I put down my baby to sleep he will cry which never happens before; which kinds of stresses me out these past few days. But seeing you look at the fussiness as a sign of development leap put me into a very positive mindset, and it warms my heart knowing I can turn a situation that I see as a negative motherhood journey into something more joyful and positive, and I thank you for that

I had the same with my wrist and had a brace and fysio therapy to use it correctly with such a weight constantly. Really worth to seek help and also know that it hormones you’re producing now more than before cause it.

Congratulations🩷Postpartum is hard..thank you for highlighting the positive qualities of newborn life. I am 9 months PP with my second. I had the same issues with my wrists. Icing before bed and applying cbd ointment helped with pain and inflammation.

This was AMAZING! So curious, it looks like baby Kiwi just goes to sleep as soon as you put her in the bassinet. Is she asleep before you put her in or does she just fall asleep as soon as you put her in? Was that always the case or how did you get this to happen? lol feels like magic. I have a 3 week old and right now that doesn't happen for me.

Aw soak it! Take more photos and videos of your little one. I thought I did and now looking back I wish I had even more videos to watch over and over again 🥲 Keira sometimes needs to be rocked until she’s drowsy again… usually after the 3am mark. But she doesn’t really cry. So even if she’s not sleeping, she will just thump around in her bassinet haha. But a pacifier usually helps soothe her too. Your baby probably just needs to adjust to night and day still ❤️
