Being gentle with yourself is a good thing now & again. Enjoyed your day out with Kirsten. That green skirt was a beautiful colour and I loved the lounge suit - might be tempted myself as usually many trousers are too long for me so that looked great. For my moms funeral I wore a colourful blouse of mine that she liked me in with black trousers & blazer which I think she would of appreciated. Agree funerals are very sad but also definitely a celebration of their life. Look after yourself and please wish your mom a happy birthday. Xx

Oh I love a bit of pottering around my bathroom and bedroom, just relaxing and getting ready for the next day. Its a bit of 'me' time that is soothing and calming. Reading too, my go-to before sleep. Take care.

Thank you for sharing your look around the shops - the colours are definitely muted this year! I hope you are all starting to adjust to life without your wonderful dad - I know it gets easier but that isn't a help when you are right in it. We mentioned to people that it would be nice if they could "wear colour" for my mums funeral and it was really lovely. Some people did wear black as they felt it appropriate which is perfectly fine but it was cheerful to see some bright colours too x

Exeter parking! Oh my word do I get it! Our daughter lives in the city centre and parking spaces by her place are like gold dust! We usually end up in the Guild Hall car park and then walk to her flat from there. Lovely to see you and Kirsty browsing round the stores. With you on the colours though. I spent so many years "hiding" in neutral colours and I don't want to go back there! 😂

I don’t wear black to funerals either. My grandmother taught me that funeral services are a celebration of life, that was 62 years ago. She was ahead of her time back then,😊. When my mom passed this pass summer, everyone wore red. That was her favorite color. And it was truly a celebration, lots of stories & memories shared and a big Italian family dinner at her favorite restaurant. It was her special day & goodbye from family & friends. My grandmother would have been proud of us.

Regarding those metal tubes, I have a cleansing balm in one of those tubes and I stick it in my toothpaste holder. Well, you can guess what I did once when I was not paying attention. Yuck!!

Girls who Shop: love it! I've always loved a mooch around shops, especially shopping malls. Moved out of London so now have to travel 30mls for a decent M&S and Primark. But my idea of a 'mooch' is firmly stuck in my memory, circa 1990s-2015, sadly😔 Those little pink ballet pumps in Primark are terrific.👍 Managed to bag me a dress in there 2wks ago that was reduced to a tenner! Roll on Spring/Sumner!

Oh I can't stand all this dreary greige. It matches the weather we've had too much of. Roman is the only shop I've been into lately that has some nice bright colours coming in with their new Spring collection. I think I'm also a comfort shopper - nothing like a good hike round town if I'm feeling down. I think when a person was quite elderly it's entirely appropriate to treat their funeral as a celebration of life.
