I think the dark floor is lovely, the lighter one ,to me, seems to clash with stone of fire place. Its a lovely fireplace, I personally wouldn't put TV above it, I think it would ruin the look. Just my thoughts, looks a beautiful house.

I’m really enjoying your content. So refreshing to see someone downsize. For me I’d love any tips etc you’ve discovered for maximising the space, storage etc. but to be honest I just watching anything house related and as the Cotswolds is one of my favourite places to visit, I love finding new things to do in the area.

Your new home looks lovely. You could maybe try charity/thrift shops for good quality chairs 😊 I love Christmas too and, yes, I’m already watching the romance Christmas Hallmark movies with hot chocolates and peppermint candy canes. I live in Ireland and Hallmark are currently on location filming one of their movies in my locality. Not sure who is in it but I think I’d probably recognise the actors as it’s usually the same ones 😂 I still love them though…

You should take the valspar back and get a refund. I am sure they do a refund if the match isnt correct to get your money back. The fire is lovely! I cant wait to see it at Christmas. A big garland and some bell on one side would look amazing xx

Hey Sarah! Yes, we got our refund! It took quite a bit of effort a few years back, but this time it went super smoothly, thank goodness. The colour match was totally off, which was a bit frustrating, and we ended up having to spend a little extra on paint. But you know what? We absolutely love the color we ended up with! Hope you had an amazing weekend! X

The wooden vessel is not actually originally a vase they are old ghee, yak milk vessels from Nepal and Northern India. I have a large collection of them (after living in India for 8 years).
