I live in rural Kentucky in the mountain area, when our electricity goes out it stays out for days most of the time. A few years in the winter we had a a snow storm with a lotta lot of snow and our electricity was off for 3 WEEKS. I’m glad your alls came back on fairly quickly.

You dont know how much you take power for granted untill you lose it.

You can call the electric company and get a discount on your bill. Tell them you were without power for awhile and they usually give you something off your bill.

Hi 👋 Sorry yall had to deal with the power being out. We deal with that too much lol. Be sure if that happens again, Don't open your fridge or freezer. And wait about 30 minutes after the power comes bk on to open up. And just in case you didn't know , stuff in your fridge stays good for 4 hrs and your freezer... 1/2 full freezer is 24 hrs, and a full freezer is 48 hrs. The times significantly reduce if you open up either one during a power outage. Plus, all vinger based items like pickles are not affected. You can Google what foods are safe after a power outage. Just thought I would pass this information on in case you didn't know. 😊

Watching from the uk 🇬🇧 I’m glad your lights are back on! Does that happen often? In the 70s in the uk 🇬🇧 we had power cuts often and we would be sat there with candles 🕯️ on and my dad would tell us ghost stories lol 😂 but nowadays it doesn’t happen that often i love ❤️ your vlog your kids make me laugh 😂

oh my goodness i cannot imagine right now if our power was out it’s over 100 degrees outside here today suppose to be 107 with heat index this week our weather is going to be rough all week . i guess we all just need to be thankful for what we do have i grew up in a single family home of 7 kids and just my mom but we had no air growing up boy i remember hot summers i just couldn’t sleep .

This is why I prefer gas stoves, at least you can cook and heat if necessary. They say don't heat by the stove, but I say by any means necessary.

Miss Theresa I have the push lights you get from dollar store for times like this and candles. We had an outage caused by a squirrel that zapped the transformer poor little guy was fried. Power was out for 12 hours.
