I play mostly solo too, and the heavy focus on co-op play in most of the larger ships kind of reduces their interest for me. I am looking forward to when they add ai server blades, so hopefully I can automate the turrets in larger ships, or hire ai crew.

Same here! I always fly my Redeemer when I have a couple friends wanting to run turrets, but when we get ai crews the dynamics for solo players in multi crew ships will be awesome!

From what I understand, "Remote" turrets can be put on an AI server Blade, not manually controlled ones. Plus, the quality / effectiveness of AI server Blade would be akin to an "average" NPC (IIRC).
