We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday/Christmas. It was such a dream to have Bernardo be "my family" in the big Pate family. My family has come such a long ways and I was just smiling ear to ear. We started a few traditions, especially that spiked punch Bernardo made. He also made some brigadeiros (famous Brazilian dessert) for everyone to try. We hope you all have a wonderful New Year and be safe everyone. Big hugs and kisses from us. We thank you to the people who have sent us some cards/gifts in our PO Box. We are in the process of writing some cards back to you all. Thank you all! Also, no gift exchanging for Bernardo and I this year. We are saving money for our next trip. For anyone asking about the rings, we are trying to find a place that can resize them. I got them too big.

Isn't it great at we can share Christmas with our family and not hide in the shadows. When i came out I thought I would never have a relationship or even be accepted by family that was in 1982 today I'm married he's part of my family and I'm part of his. When my mother past he gave the eulogy. We've been together 28 yrs now it'll be 29 in Dec. I'm so happy for you!

The Travelling Hobitt happy New Year!! Our Christmas was crazy: my family (2 siblings + spouses) and my husband’s family (4 siblings + spouses), nephews/nieces and a few of their significant others gathered for 2 days at our house!! 10 overnight guests, 24 people on Christmas Eve and 29 on Christmas Day!! Everyone gets along with everyone else. It was wild and so much fun!! Lots of cooking, wine, desserts, games, singing, discussions: you name it, it probably happened. The best thing was after everyone left, we sat down on the couch, became mesmerized by the twinkling lights, cuddled together and then, my sweet sweet husband started singing Silent Night to me in GERMAN!! He does this every year and I still cry. My grandmother taught it to me when I was a little boy and I think I knew it in German before I knew it in English!! So, many years ago, my husband learned it all by heart! I was blown away the first time he sang it to me. So, in essence, it was perfect!! How was yours? 😘💕❤️
