I just happened to watch Sherpa’s first year video from several years back.❤Love Sherpa even though he’s changed so much and is certainly in his senior years now😢 When one has arthritis and hip pain, a ramp is more comfortable than climbing steps, but that may not be as practical with the van.

I lost several dogs to different types of cancer before the age of ten. I tried every way to save them, but it was, in the end, futile. Please make sure Sherpa remains a happy little puppy at the end of his life. Sherpa deserves every happiness that comes his way.

Being a former dog owner, I grew up with a Irish Setter/Collie mix named Rosie and we would take her on walks, camping trips and day trips from puppyhood all the way up to her passing away. She was a great and a beautiful dog. My parents and I still miss our dog. Enjoy your time with Sherpa as he has his ups and downs days. You are a good dad to Sherpa. And watching your adventures with Sherpa, I wish we had a dog.

I look at Sherpa and think of my golden retriever Wally. He slowed down but lived to 17.5 years. I pray the same for Sherpa. He couldn't wish for a better dad. Bless.

That’s a wonderful age for such a large dog..my Akita is 9 this year I look at his face and I see it’s going whiter around the muzzle he’s my best friend I fear for myself when the day comes and he will leave me..I do believe however spirit lives on I’ve seen and heard it we all have with our dear little cat who passed away he was with us a lot the first few weeks but now his appearances are rare

It was and is quite obvious to you, Jamie and me why he bought the treadmill; however, little people like to get on social media and try and belittle someone else to make themselves feel bigger. It has become increasingly difficult for me to read the comments anymore because I take the insults to my dear friends personally, and it brings me down.😢 P.S. If I were a moderator for Sherpa’s channel, I would delete the negative comments and block the offenders. You shouldn't have to explain why you bought yourself a treadmill but your so kind and did for your supporters, your one in a million Jamie especially for the way you love Sherpa I've had 3 pups in my lifetime they've all passed from old age 14 & 16 years old and it's the hardest to see them slow down but the best part of it is spending that time with them and doing all you can for them so they know that you love them just as much as they love and adore you as they get older every single second and minute is precious and I know Sherpa is thankful for all that you do for him keep loving him like you do Jamie like I said before your one in a million ❤️🐶❤️

Lady Justice, do you use vinegar in the rinse cycle or just douse the items in vinegar before putting them in the wash? Jamie, you can also use a "laundry sanitizer" in the rinse cycle if it's sold in the UK -- maybe that can help too.

@@bsteven885 you can soak the items using laundry detergent and white vinegar together, it's more effective. You can also use soap and vinegar to clean your bathroom. Run white vinegar through your washing machine without a load in it to clean it inside. You'll see a difference.

My suggestion was going to be a foam bed on the floor. Jumping in a small space is hard if he is arthritic. Choices Love Sherpa

Jamie I think to be honest building new steps Sherpa might have difficulties getting up them. He knows that stool/step you have, he's used to it and trusts it. Sherpa is a senior and he obviously has aches. Just keep doing what you're doing, he looks happy. For Sherpa just being with you makes him happy.❤

Have you considered a ramp instead of steps? You can make one that folds in the middle but still supports his weight when unfolded. I noticed you also turned the steps around after you put his old bed in the van. I think he may have been using them to get up. You both are very blessed to have each other.

When my dog got older, he was kiddish with stairs too. I put outdoor carpet on the treads. He seemed to get better footing and was so tentative using them. Sherpa is my absolute favorite You Tube dog! You guys make my day!

Sweet Sherpy! 🤗🐕❤I feel sorry to see him quiet. What makes me happy is watching how Jamie takes care of him. That's so cute. Sherpy is a lovely dog ​​and I love how Jamie pampers him. Today Jamie answered a couple of things that I also had wondered. Why Sherpy is on a lead while he is at home's park. And the purchase of the treadmill. I understood the latter because Sherpy can't walk much nowadays and so Jamie can exercise and not leave Sherpy alone. I didn't quite understand the leash matter. What I did hear was the sound of a car that seemed to be like one of Formula 1 haha! 😘🐕❤💙🤍💙

So it seems that when it’s cold and wet are the days Sherpa has a hard time getting up on the van seat. Maybe those would be the days you stay in and use the treadmill? Jamie I'm older and I feel the same way some days are good some days are bad. You give him the best life anybody could ever give him and that says a lot. Putting the dog bed on the floor is the best thing you could do...you're so thoughtful. Puppies are a joy, and hard work. When my beautiful Jack & Honey became seniors, the three of us would sit out on the grass on lovely afternoons, the two of them lying near or next to me, my hand resting on them. These are memories I treasure, relaxing with good mates after working. And one of the most calming things in the world, is the sight of a dog you love sleeping in the sunshine. My little Kayley dog is too hyper at the moment, so thanks for sharing these moments with us Jamie. Sherps knows he has an amazing hooman as part of his pack. Keep well boys ❤❤❤
