Great video. As a long time visitor to Barbados I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s not cheap but it’s ohhhh so good. The spice in the rum punch is nutmeg. The tree frogs are noisy but it’s the best noise ever. We’re from Canada and come back end of February for our 70th visit

@@MollyThompsonx_ Wonderful thanks. Just me and my brother went and we avoided all the heavy rain that hit the UK at the time. We only stayed in one area - a private estate in the suburbs of Nassau (the capital) that you can only go into by invitation.

Ahhh have the best time!! We had no issues at all, if they’d gone through our bags we couldn’t tell - very quick & efficient generally I’d say, the longest part was getting through immigration tbh!xx

Noooo!! They’ve given him 3 months unpaid as where he works is seasonal & this is their off season so it works really well for both of them! Plus it was pre planned when he took the job so they knew when they employed him 🥰🫶

Hahahah there’s no such thing 🤣 Barbados is beautiful but easily one of the most expensive Caribbean islands! It is well worth a splurge if you can afford it but be prepared to have to invest!xx

How has Tom managed to get 3 months off from work? I thought he started a new job not that long ago? Obviously it’s fantastic that he is able to travel with you but I was wondering how he is able to😅 sorry if this is intrusive

No not at all!! So his work have given him 3 months unpaid leave for this trip as where he works currently is very seasonal and their low season is December - April which is why we’ve taken this trip now! It was also pre-agreed when he took the contract, it works for both him & them so it’s just very fortunate really! Previously though when we travelled to Asia he quit his job after the pandemic to do that, and then had a temporary summer contract before leaving for Australia - it’s just sort of worked out🫶

I don't want to be negative, but horse racing in the UK is such a cruel sport (if sport is even a word you would use). I would be wary of supporting it anywhere even if the horses get to go down to the beach each morning.
