Good for you to have Leo on a leash. We see so many people on our mountain hikes that don't think this rule applies to them. Loose dogs are always running up to ours (on leash) and the owners don't do anything UNTIL our dogs "protect" themselves. GO LEO!

We will have disagreements and occasionally get frustrated with each other but we never argue or fight. We've learned that you have to work together and communicate a lot when living in such a small space. Plus this life is very low stress and we love what we're doing.

Instead of using a lease connected to his collar, have you ever considered a harness for your "beautiful dog?" When we take our dog out for any extended walking activity, he wears a harness (with a leash attached) and seems to really enjoy. Just a thought :)

Kait and Joe, Thank you so much for opening your lives to the world. I happened upon your channel by chance and am extremely happy I did. I'm retiring in 18 months and am considering purchasing a camper van and touring the country. Your channel has given me some great insight into the life. I'm an avid backpacker, camper and outdoorsmen, and love the flexibility of a the camper van. I'm looking forward to reading your book Joe and getting a better understanding of the process leading up to your journey. I'm a SoCal guy, so if you ever need a driveway to hijack you are more than welcome. Just let me know how to get a hold of you offline and I will make my location available. Thanks again for your honesty and openness. BTW, love the relationship you two have,,,,it's endearing and certainly adds to the sincerity in your videos.

When I park further out, someone is not smart enough and park right next to me. I don't get these type of people. Nice, you got recognized. Gas like everything else is more expensive than in Texas, but we had to deal with the Harvey storm. And what I miss about the bay area is the farmers market, almost every little city in bay area had their own FM.

Loving the Bundy comments. Lifes little treasures. You will love Crater Lake. There are so many hidden waterfalls all over that area. If you take the route from Crater Lake to Roseburg, you will love it. Also Bandon is a great place to go. The first time I went to Oregon in 2015, I too attempted to pump my own gas and I was yelled at. Needless to say, most places have an attendant right there. Oregon is beautiful, you will love it. PS, I would not have been as calm as you were when leo got attacked. Nope, that dog and its owner would have gotten a butt kickin" but Im from the south, we do that kind of thing. Glad he is okay!
@Weretherussos7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comments about Oregon...we love the state and think it's absolutely beautiful. LOL about your butt kicking comment...we didn't show the aftermath of the attack because we would have had to have beeped out pretty much everything I said to the owners.

When my late parents traveled in their Class A, they found that many county parks allow no-hook-up spaces for rver's. Hey Joe, Kait and Leo. First of all pretty bummed that Leo was involved in a scuffle. Aggressive dogs should not be off a leach in public. Hope he's ok. Second, as per your question "favorite road trip"? Well where to start, this country is so magnificent. We've been up and down California (Yosemite was the bomb, San Francisco and Napa valley), we've driven from Deep South Texas to Montana and Seattle Washington. Awesome scenery. Colorado in the spring or fall is beautiful as is Tennessee Great smoky mountain range. I guess the best road trips are those I'm able to take with my wife and our two dogs 🐶 Chico and Hershey. Look forward to someday running across you guys like that one lucky individual did outside that Walmart. Till then, keep shuffling, keep posting, stay safe. Kait, you're a ray of sunshine ☀️. Great vlog. New Jersey is another state where you still can't pump your own gas . People that don't keep their dogs on a leash tick me off. Glad Leo is able to defend himself when he needs to. Joe when your parents took you on a summer long road trip was it in an RV of some sort or in a car or a truck? My favorite road trip was as a child my family & I drove in a car towing a pop up camper trailer from New York state to several of the beautiful New England states. Joe at the Farmers Market did you see the sign on Coffeeology by chance?

I've watched another of your vids in which you call what you do stealth camping... possibly becase you parked along a city street or two, but HEY! That huge buggy is never going to be a stealth rig. Never. When you can drive in to a motel parking lot just outside rooms and stay all night without getting caught maybe you've got a stealthy rig. I had one. It works. You need to be able to live in it full time too not just escapade for fun. I did it for two years and at Walmart I parked in front of the Grocery door and got up in the morning and went in for a banana and hit the road. . My girlfriend and I wish that we could afford your rig, lucky couple.

Oh yeah, you're in Oregon. I went through there for the first time about 6 months ago. I went to pump gas and some dude came up and asked how much I wanted to put in and what type and I was thinking this random dude was being overly social but he worked there lol.
