Casey became a Dad at around 16-17 or so there's only like 15-16 years apart in age of Casey and his son so they practically grew up together. Its a lot different than our parents that had us in their 30's and whatnot. I can see why it trips Casey out to have an adult child.

Gabriel. how long do you think these videos are compared to the length of time he spends with his son? Do the math, it's not that much time. His son knows what his father does, and quite frankly, I'm sure he also realizes his father is somewhat a celebrity of his own making. I'm sure he enjoys the recognition is father gets.

I paid 2100$ for 1BR that was one block from the school and it was pretty new. Compared to a few other friends' place, I got a pretty good deal (kitchen, laundry, bathroom, and a living room that could easily fit 30 people). Otherwise it's actually cheaper if you get a place with more BR and then have housemates, a room will be around 1400~1700$ around that area (Panhandle until Clement), and cheaper if you have roommates. Furnished apartments or the nicer places are around 2500$ and if you go South (Irving) or West (35th or Sunset) it's cheaper. It's only gonna be 3500~4000$ for 1BR if you're in condos near DT (NEMA, Trinity, etc). This is all excluding utilities.

I deplore anyone who dares to call you a "man child", not because of the insult itself, but because they expect you to conform to their expectations of what an "adult" needs to be. Aging is a human concept, it's not this devoted law that's supposed to turn you into some kind of dull repetitive working machine. That's how you lose grip of where the world is heading, you become blind-sighted by the "responsibilities" and forget the curiosity and child like joy you were born with.. Casey is responsible, he's the most responsible person I know. Why? Because he doesn't forget to lose grip of who he is and what he can do as a person. In short, he's very well the most responsible "character" I know; Does that make sense? ;)

I know this is an older video but i had just videos playing while do some work on my house. I traveled to San Francisco from Australia for the first time at the end of 2016 and i remember visiting some of the places in this video which bought back great memories, i love San Fran. I am lucky, only one has left the nest and she is only a 20 min drive away.

+Dmaa I'll try explaining. Prioritizing work over family is shitty parenting. You can't just give your kid your black Amex think you're a great dad. He is away from he family more than a heart surgeon. And where is Casey's ex wife, his son's mother. The three of them could have spent time together like old times but nope.
@stevedavis92567 жыл бұрын
D K why would he spend time with his ex wife? I think you're assuming too much. Just because he travels in his videos doesn't mean he's never around his family. His son just started college so I'm sure like any other college kid, they wanna be independent and not constantly be around their parents. Don't base his parenting skills off his videos lol
@NakataLTU7 жыл бұрын
D K, Life can be much more complicated than that. He did spend lots of time with his family, he also had to work before that, to be able to afford to give his family as most as he can. Casey's ex wife is his ex wife, why would he spend time with her when he has a wife? (that's kind of weird, feels like you're 12 living in a bubble) Doesn't mean that the son doesn't spend the time with his mom, although I don't know who his mom is and I shouldn't, it's their lives. Either I don't think Casey doesn't spend enough time with his family, he doesn't seem like that kind of person, he does work hard and loves to work, but judging by my experience of watching his vlogs for years, I do believe that he is doing a good job as a dad.
@DK-uc9zr7 жыл бұрын
+Steve Davis "His son just started college so I'm sure like any other college kid, they wanna be independent and not constantly be around their parents." Except for when your 40 y/o hype beast supreme dad is on his way with his black AMEX to buy you Raybans and designer clothes/accessories. What is wrong with a Walmart 3 pack of boxers for $9? Casey admitted himself that he is "compensating" as he put it. Look laundry detergent, 3 for $9 boxers/socks, furniture, mac n cheese/ramen etc, cool no problem. The Raybans? He can get a part time job at Chick-fil-a or washing dishes like Casey did as a kid to buy those. My dad and his ex-wife (my mom) still 'got together for the kids' for birthdays/special occasions and when they hadn't seen me in months. Divorce is a personal decision that should not affect your kids because you negligently had an unplanned kid with someone you've only known for a 2 years. The kid didn't ask to be born into a broken family.

I think it's awesome that you Casey have built this channel and life and are able to do these things with and for your son considering how little you once had. It makes me smile actually as a dad myself. I'm trying myself to build something, to become someone with proper means for my kid, and while i'm fare off at this point it just makes me happy too see when someone else has succeeded. Best of luck to you and your family from Aarhus DK.

I'm 44 years old, travelling the world alone. This video made me think about am I doing the right thing when my parents are getting older, should I be spending time with them and am I being selfish. It's tough.
@HeavyProfessor7 жыл бұрын
ExploreList yes, you are selfish depending on where you get ur money for travel? Are you retired or take money from parents?
@3DegreesNorth6387 жыл бұрын
I’d say that it is selfish. You’re parents raised you only for you to abandon them when they need you most (in their old age). You can travel the world whenever you want, but you can never get back the time you have to spend with your parents.

It just makes me smile to see someone being a good loving parent that cares for their kid. I know it's expected of parents, but a lot of the time they don't give their lids the love they need and it can damage them, trust me, I know.
