just a psa for anyone watching this who also spent valentine’s day alone: i spent it with my family and friends & it was the best night i really needed. it does not have to be on a holiday but i highly encourage these days if you have close friends or family because we forget about that kind of love too. there is so much pressure on young adults to find significant others and it’s just useless, we are all different and want our own things. love yourself! love your sister you might fight with a lot but still love! love your family! give your relatives a call! and if you don’t have these people, i’m your GALentine now. ♥️

I loved your talking about being single, and it’s okay. I am 30 now and in a relationship, but I felt the same way you did at 18 and never had a real boyfriend until I was 24, it always frustrated me in high school and collage when girls would just be so single minded and obsessed with having a boyfriend or having a boy interested in you. It’s so so important to be comfortable with you and not worry about those things. friendships and family were always a priority to me over boyfriends. And I think it’s important more people shifts their mindset to this.
