@@Toni_560 It depends on how you look at it. DF just wanted to make money fast, which is usually hard and tedious in the beginning of games like these. However, I'm sure there's some way to strategically do it. SDV is similar in the beginning, and throughout the whole game you pick things one at a time.

theres a mechanic in story of seasons that lets you water things twice a day (to make them grow faster), so when the crops you planned for the 30th grew faster faster, it was because it had rained in the second half of the day, thus speeding up the process! Also fertalizing raises the star levels slowly, but its smarter to just fertalize one crop in your whole harvest, then turn the fertalized crops into seeds! then you will get 5 star crops faster and without wasting so much money and time on fertalizing. just some tips because ti runs differently from stardew valley i havent played the doraemon one yet but also sometimes things are locked behind being friends with villagers, so its possible that you might have to actually go around town to make friends (gasp!) to get lower in the mines (don't know about that for sure on this one, as i mentioned before, because i haven't played it!)

when you say only fertalize one crop, you mean 1 type of crop (like 10 carrots) or just a single 1 crop (1 unity)

(like 1 potato, 1 turnip) etc. just make sure you choose one (like the top left-most crop) so you're fertilizing the same one every day. you need a seed maker to turn them into seeds but if you hold onto your spring crops you can usually get the seed maker by winter of year 1, thus starting spring year 2 with 3 star crops and making way more money. its really worth hanging on to in my opinion!

The HM/Story of seasons games are typically more grind intensive than newer farm sim games. -The previous story of seasons games focused on progressively getting better crops through fertilizing and turning the better crops back into seeds. -Some of the games used hidden "achievements" to unlock new seed types (like selling X amount of one crop), by unlocking new sellers/ places though events, or by reaching the second year, third year, etc. -Giant crops have a certain low percentage of occurring and usually require the crop to be high quality among other requirements. -I remember in the first story of seasons game that selling ores from mining was the best way to earn gold fast That being said id like to see how much gold you can make in the first month by focusing on mining or just growing crops. Have fun and keep up the content DF!

Can give you a few hints. On the first day you can actually play, when you go to the store around 3pm/15:00, scroll down and you have two free items/quest, the first one gives you 20 seeds of each spring crop, the 2nd gives you 5 quick grows and 5 items that gives you unlimited stamina for 2 ingame hours or 2 minutes in real time, nice from starting or mining, think you can buy them later. For mining I suggest saving before digging and find the ladder/rope to the lower level, remember where it is and reload the game. Saves energy and can get more valueable stuff. But if you can reach level 10, you can fish for valuable fish which is actually more then the minerals you find from mining. Suggest getting baits from the beach shack, if you every explored it. Suggest befriending villagers to progress through the story and get useful gadgets, one is the anywhere door which you need to first raise the mayor's heart to 2 and Doraemon the blue cat robot to 3 and then visit the Mayor's house for a cutscene. Then give a gold ore to the Carpenter to get the Anywhere door. Extremely useful to get anywhere in the world. As for energy and raising stamina, you can go to the doctor's office to get the Vitalizer to restore energy and buy certain weird named medicine to extend your stamina if you have the money. You can raise it to 150 max. Or another way to get energy is first build the first house extention to get the kitchen and cook with either rescipies you can buy or freestyle (but check for online guides for that for success). Also might go easy on growing stuff until you have more items to regain energy so you can mine. Save any bees you find for summer and buy a beehive in the summer by having the money, having enough soft wood and a honeycomb (my guess form foraging). There are plenty of youtube videos of tips and tricks on this game, sadly not many written guides. Played for a while and it seems to be an OK game, but might hold off from it until I get better guides. Also it seems to miss too many features from past Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games, it has some good ones, but lacks others and one bad feature is having to re-water crops. Hope this helps.

More hints I remember. Save any weeds you plucked. Those are useful for early gives for all villigers except Doraemon, the mayor, Genma and her mother (I think), the elderly folk, the chef and his wife, and a couple kids, the nervious one and the kid working for the Chef and Haromon, the green haired boy. Couple of early excellent gifts are the Dandilions for Rem the little girl (which you can find at her home with the grandparents at 7am) and Potatoes for Haromon at his home with his grandmother at 7am. One of the best times to give gifts to everyone is at festivals, make sure to get the best as you can. For fertilizer, maybe suggest just fertilize one crop (a strawberry) for the spring 28th harvest festival. Sadly I tried buy only got 2nd place with a 2 1/2 star Strawberry, so it might not be worth it. Does not seem worth spending money on it, especially when it seems there is no seed maker. For foraging I suggest maybe saving some of the stuff you find, if you want to. But maybe making money off it is better. That is all I can think of/remember or could find to make a better start. Hope this helps along with the other hints and hope maybe you can make some yourself. If you don't want to play it anymore, I understand.

If it works like the NDS game, fertilizing everyday increases crop quality (duh) BUT the quality will carry over to seeds once you can make a seed maker or whatever the machine will be here. So fertilizing painful but you don't have to do it forever.

the mines are actually save-scummable, you can save, smash around for the ladder/valuables, and reload when you find it for stamina preservation. the clinic sells drinks that increase max stamina, as well as regular stamina recovery (10 to 50 by chance) for 200G you can buy once a day. the general store actually gives you a pack of free seeds (20 of each spring crop), its in the shopping menu at the bottom, selling for 0G (edited to add some things i forgot)

Wow...Now I'm glad I didn't bother going about it the way you have here. I dove into this game, thinking I was going to love it, since it made me think of a return to something more simple, like Wonderful Life. This game is far more tedious, though, sadly. I've always been a big Doraemon fan, but never cared much for Nobita or his friends. The whole story line is a bit of a bore for me. I have no idea how I'm supposed to meet and befriend the harvest goddess in this game. Everything is just so slow, and upgrading the tools is just an unreasonably long process that requires far too much effort, especially when you consider more recent installments of Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon/BokuMono/Whathaveya. It's what Wonderful Life would've been without the charm of the villagers - and I'm not even someone who's all bent out of shape about the lack of dating in this game! That has never been a big deal to me. I just can't stand how desperately SLOWWWWW going it is! I have a long plane ride coming up, and I may use it for ASMR purposes to help me try to catch some zzzs on the trip, but otherwise, it'll probably stay shelved for the next 3 months, at least. What a shame, right?

There will be seed maker later on the game... you can choose to make that at the blacksmith after certain friendship level if i'm not mistaken... and before that unlocked it's not recommended to fertilize any crops... After unlocked... we can turn 2.5 star crop to 2.5 star seed... then fertilized it again and repeat till 5 star seeds.

anyhow you should try to play "Harvest Town", kinda similar to Stardew Valley. A mobile game tho.

The farming type games - stardew valley, harvest moon, story of season,...I love all of them and have played almost every single games. For this Doraemon game, most of us (the one who knows exactly who the f*ck is Doraemon is) really choose to play this game because it reminds us of our childhood memory, not the game mechanic. So if you want to play and have no idea of the story behind it, just expect a supper game mechanic, and starting to compare bla bla bla, then don't play and complaint. I just love to see my favourite characters running around, that's it.
