Their speed is limited, and they can't do shit sitting at the back of the map behind an island all game. When you look at it that way, WG should remove CVs and replace them with subs. It's hardly possible to imagine they could be WORSE, and likely nowhere near as bad. I bet if you took a poll by putting that question to every player who logs in over the course of a month (only 1 vote per account), it would overwhelmingly favour making such a change, so hated are CVs (with good reason).

I will be playing nothing but subs just so carriers cant fucking touch me. I used to be a destroyer main but now I rarely touch them cus of carriers... rather upsetting

Hey, Flambino, have you read the latest Q&A? Comedy gold. Apparently, Aircraft Carriers are fine, and there is no problem with AA... (P. S. There was a bug recently where CVs were getting whole squadrons shredded. We were hoping it was an actual thing, but it turned out to be just a couple of bugs that Quality Control missed, kappa.)

On an unrelated note, imagine if the aircraft from CVs had functioning offensive guns and defensive turrets that could shoot at fighters or other bomber formations, or even ships if lined up or in range. I mean, there are records of 3 P47s crippling a German destroyer (though it was basically a glorified TB) with .50 cals alone, which can penetrate about 3/4 inch of steel at 500 yards, which is about what was on something like a Fletcher-class destroyer's hull, or about 1/4 inch on the deck. Imagine how cancerous THAT would be for Destroyers. So, for those complaining about CVs , specifically USN CVs, thank your lucky stars. It could be a LOT worse. 6 AN/M2 Brownings is a monstrous combination, dude
