Another lovely video Ian full of great tips and advice. Such a pleasure to see you being so courteous to other rivers users. Too often I have seen fisher people rant and rave at canoeists …in my experience all it does it put there backs up and cause bad feeling. Best to be courteous like you were and hope they repay you by keeping as far to the edge of the pool as possible. Hope Kobe enjoyed the eel !😂

That looked like a "Bonnie" bit oh water that just looked fishy. Why is it the fish are always lying just off the far bank. I always wonder if the Ghillies on the other bank are saying the same thing "the fish are lying just off the far bank".

So thats why I canna cast a spey line. Ive been trying to cast them like a shooting heed 🙄

It needs a longer back cast and forward cast.

I'm not actually sure to be honest. Its ties with Heron Hackle so is obviously an old one. I'll ask @John anderson as he will have tied it for me.

im pleased to see you don't recast after a duff cast Ian , repeated recasting to get that extra line out just puts fish down and off the take.
