So excited to hear from Hugh Howey. I love his books. He's the king of independent publishing.

I've been visiting schools and working with whole groups of younger readers, talking books, publishing and answering (often random!) questions. It's a lot of work, and doesn't cover cost, but it's not really solely for that. It's grass roots. I've now started taking testimonials from the teachers which I'll soon put onto my website to direct future schools to. So worth it.

I always listen on a Friday as soon as it comes out. I can normally manage to work and listen just fine but this interview hooked me. No work was done during the course of this interview.

My favorite part was when he said, having Random House backing him would actually be a 'ding' on his resume'. As you British say...brilliant!
