Met Scott just after he signed for us. He was in Tesco before training and I was on my way to work in a rush and forgot my money. I didn't realise this though until I was at the till and he was behind me and gave me money to pay for my sandwich! Small gesture and I know the guy's a multi-millionaire, but it was a class gesture that I will never forget and it sums the guy up! All the best for Preston Scott! 💚

I remember him from his performances for Swansea City. Where the star of Brandan Rodgers and his nice team lit up, who won the English League Cup in the 12/13 season. Yes, with new players, and without Brendan Rodgers, but certainly with his foundation. Nathan Dyer, Joe Allen, Graham, Michu, Vorm, Scott Sinclair, Routledge and others. Scott played an important role in Brandan's tactical schemes. Successfully playing both in the starting lineup and coming on as a substitute. He was distinguished by his speed, he was on par with Theo Walcott, the fastest in the Premier League, at that time, talented and young. Scott never played in clubs of a higher rank. Almost native Chelsea, practically did not give a chance to realize himself, the competition was crazy, these were the golden years of the blues. City took Scott, as they did at that time, looking for good English players, thinking that they would strengthen Manchester and help them establish internal hegemony. But he did not play there either. And after a while, fate brought him together with Brandan again. Where everything fell into place. The Rodgers and Sinclair tandem is back in business. In fairness, it's worth remembering that this was a period without Rangers, when Celtic had a complete advantage in the championship and the Scottish Cup without any competitors. But it was a good time for Rodgers to gain more experience, improve his tactical skills, and form the next generation of footballers. In any case, Scott made history at Celtic, remembered by fans, revived his career, and helped in the success of his best coach. Great job.

Watching this video makes me sad that he has left without a proper send off. He was absolutely amazing his first year at Celtic and even though he didn't quite reach the same heights over the next 2 and a half years, he never hid and still produced goals and assists. His contribution on and off the field has been immense, Treble Treble winner, best song in world football, a thoroughly decent person...a Celtic legend.
