Journaling RPGs never really seemed like my kind of thing, but I like the idea of playing one with an existing character during a larger campaign. Maybe that would be more my speed.

Apothecaria is definitely worth a play, and the Story Engine is a perfect supplement to provide the character oracles that Apothecaria lacks. Enjoy! There are also several expansions for Apothecaria that I haven't even looked at, so if you find you like it, there is more to explore!

Hah! My choice of blue as the theme song was more for sound then for the song itself, but I suppose we could say Pointage is metaphorically blue!

The extra tools you add to make jerling games less of a off the top of your head thing and more of a game, that I would do with an RPG system, are definitely fun and interesting! I haven't heard of this game before and your interpretation of it makes me intrigued, I'll have to check it out!

Using oracles and other inspirational tools for Journaling games definitely helps! You can also check out my Thousand Year Old Vampire campaign where I use Mysterium cards as an oracle.
