Bo1's Double Round Robin < Bo3's Single Round Robin < Bo2's Double Round Robin

Bo2 just so unsatisfying to watch if it ends in a draw. I reckon they do 3 x bo3 a day and two teams only play 1 game a week.
@SirAstien3 ай бұрын
@@tahuwhatuira3207 I honestly disagree, having wins, ties, and losses is a lot more satisfying than you'd think.

I don't know why if Travis saying the changes aren't anyone's (LCS') fault is some sense of ego, pride or whatever but it's completely disingenuous to suggest LCS fans, riot and orgs aren't "at fault". 100% this is our fault. CBLOL was successful in their own little bubble. Doing their job. We failed to do ours as a major region and now things are changing/downsized on them to keep us afloat. Not sure why this isn't sinking in. We should be more grateful to CBLOL.
@TravisGafford3 ай бұрын
Can you show me where CBLol was successful? I see this shit all over the place but I'm unaware of any public statements that suggest that CBLol was break even for Riot. Also, we're seeing a ton of mergers in Southeast Asia, is that also because LCS spent too much on pro players? It's just so wild to me to see takes like this, but I guess LCS is the whipping boy of Lolesports, so we're responsible for all the problems in the ecosystem. I'm sure Europe merged into one region a bit ago because of us too, right? P.S. did everyone just forget about the very public statement all the LCK teams put out together a short time ago?
@JesterMonocle3 ай бұрын
@@TravisGafford Success is and should be relative. LCS was a major region and the first to receive franchising. 5-10 years past that point LCS' success should've trickled down and it didn't. LCS' progress only went down while everything else more or less went up. LCK viewership up, LPL viewership up, LEC is only going down now but was doing much better till this point. Yeah, riot in general has been doing a pretty bad job globally to facilitate long-term growth but part of the problem is nobody's ever willing to take accountability for their own shit. So, idk why you're throwing this pity party over things going wrong/potentially going wrong in other regions, but if this is STILL how we're reacting to LCS' downfall then there's 0 reason to expect things to get better.
@TravisGafford3 ай бұрын
@@JesterMonocle there's no pity party here, just a pushback on this narrative that everyone is suffering because of LCS failings. Btw, people seem to think viewership going up = success. There's a ton of other metrics, such as revenue. It wasn't that long ago that LCS was named as the second highest revenue of any league in the world.
@_OldGrandpa3 ай бұрын
Negative LCS sentiment like this from fans and major personalities in the scene only hurts the LCS fans and players. The way I understand it, this was a GLOBAL change made by Riot that partially included the LCS, not an LCS change that somehow affected every region.
@JesterMonocle3 ай бұрын
@_OldGrandpa I never blamed LCS for other regions' problems. Travis randomly brought those up. LCS needs to be held accountable for its own problems and getting to the point where Riot dragged in CBLOL to try and save the day. Again, we got to this point by burying our head in the sand whenever things got rocky. And label any constructive criticism as "negative". There's 0 self-reflection in our ecosystem still.
