So yeah. I think I never accepted Forever as a 'real' Spice Girls album. It felt like they needed (contract) to release one more album and wanted a much different sound than what they where known for. Only three songs on Forever capture that original Spice Girls sound: Right Back At Ya, If You wanna have some fun and Goodbye. But all of the final songs had a much darker tone (except Goodbye) , including this final version. This would have been a great single if the album was released with Geri in 1999. If they would (all five of them) have released two more albums (sounding more like the original Spice Girls) they would have had at least 8 more chart topping singles. That being said: the first two albums made them iconic.

This sounds a lot like the version they played on Earl's court. This is the real Spice Girls sound. One of the reasons why I don't really praise Forever is because they moved to that sound of Jam & Lewis and that wasn't really them.

How on earth could you call “R&B” that album track that ended up on Forever? It sounds like Victoria was playing Tetris on the background.. That Rodney ended up taking advantage of the girls. Producing amazing tracks for J Lo at the same time and giving trash to the Spice. That guy at the MOBO awards said it. Rodney was gonna sell them the same song five times … and he did (Tell me why, Get down with Me, Right Back at Ya, Wasting My time and Weekend Love)… bonus Hot and VB.
