In Spice World, this song was perfectly placed in the movie as it was the scene where the girls met up at the abandoned coffee house where they hung out before they got famous. As the girls walk off together, it cuts to my favorite scene in the film which is the one that nobody talks about. The girls are sitting together by the River Thames in Battersea Park and the camera is set in a wide shot with the bridge lit up in the background and a single streetlight off to the right in the foreground. It was such a brilliant shot as the song fades out. A curious thing though. The hue of the sky and the reflection off the water is blue which indicates an early pre-dawn shot and the film cuts to the girls on the bench in a medium close up but the dark background indicates that it is now a night shot which means a bit of a continuity error but still, that one shot is so brilliantly captured and it’s one that I pause again and again just to take it all in and appreciate the beauty of it all.
