As a child, the whole family watched this clip on TV, there are 5 of us in the family, after 25 years everything has changed, my father lives separately already, my brother and sister are also separately with their families, I stayed with my mother and I always listen to this song and remember my warm childhood when we lived with the whole family under one house. I really miss those times, I want to return to this period at least for a few minutes and watch this clip again with my whole family. Now it is this song that I associate with my childhood in the circle of my family. Appreciate every second of your life and your loved ones. It is very difficult when separation takes its toll.

You have NO IDEA how much I appreciate your vulnerability right now!!! I’m just moving with my Love really far away and we are leaving sooo much behind us… I did this many times before and this song was always my support… now more than ever I feel everything what You said about being separate from your love ones or having a completely different kind of family dynamics. John Thank You x 1000000000 - Your words are soooo damn powerful. Greets and Love from Hamburg !!! 🙏🤗💪🍀🤙

I can't listen to this song and watch the video without crying. I was a huge Spice Girls fan as a kid, had their backpack, the platform shoes. I remember watching this as a kid and feeling sad for the boy who lost his friend. I have so many memories with this song. Those of us who grew up in the 90s and 2000s were truly blessed

This song was a hit in 1998, I was a young 16 year old, a beautiful time in my life. 3rd year of secondary school, not a worry in the world, life unfolding, yet uncertain of my destination. Now 42 years old I can relate to this song and the memories it evokes. These memories recapture a time in my life where I was happy and content with my school friends, with none of the burdens associated with modern day technologies. Life passes us by so very fast, id love to revisit 1998 again and perhaps relive the freedom of youth one more time.

This song was played at the funeral of a boy from my church who sadly committed suicide in 1998. He was only 11 or 12 years old at the time and I remember being 15 and crying so hard at the funeral, as his small white coffin was being carried into the church with this song playing. RIP Matthew, gone but even after all these years never forgotten. 🙏🏾

It has always been in my mind that we can carry things for the rest of the life we have. Things like poeple we have meet in life and in some cases we probably get lost in their heads but then again in our heads they stil hang around some deserved some not so much al the lost friendships that could have been. This song brings back my innocent childhood where I used to wait whole day on MTV for this song to appear. There was this favorite Grand Aunt of mine who loves this song. She was cool, kind, loving, and loved by everyone around her. Back in the early 2000s, this is the song she used to play this on her tape while she prepare delicious dumplings for everyone. Today she passed away, now I can't help but cry like a little boy listening to this song. I'm sorry if I make you sad but yeah hope after some years, if I'm alive, I'll come back often to check this comment and remember her again.

viva for ever is simply very sensual viva for ever simply very fantastic I love it. Whenever I hear them singing about a baby acting like an all-knowing grown-up. It's as if they're singing about a baby growing up in a luxury hotel. Yes even a disco over the age of 20, even changing age, old age would be a miracle baby from viva for ever. It's as if magic baby mages were born from every health condition to every law from every bodily injury nobel magic Einstein Macgywer baby award was also born from the Australian film Spellbinder where heather Mitchell stars ashka.

The meaning of this video: it's about losing someone. About enjoying life while you can. One day you have someone on your side... the next day it has just become a nostalgic memory. Fairies represent life: beautiful and cruel at the same time. Life dances with you, has fun with you but it will take that away from you one day. The magic cube is a metaphor about how complex life is. You can solve some things, others not. So live your life, enjoy the moments and your loved ones to the fullest. One day it ends. (Fun fact : At the end of the video, only four fairies come out of the machine. A hidden message that one of them was gone. (Geri left the band during the production of this video).

my mom died two days ago after fighting on the icu for a while. makes me sit in my old bedroom at my parents' house, listening to songs that made my childhood at 3am and missing her dearly. this is how i rediscovered this masterpiece and it reminds me of the late night drives from her and me when we visited my grandparents back then. it would always play in the radio and made me feel like the main character in my pre school years. it's comforting me a lot right now. and bringing her closer to me.

Do you still remember How we used to be Feeling together, believe in whatever My love has said to me Both of us were dreamers Young love in the sun Felt like my saviour, my spirit I gave ya We'd only just begun Hasta Manana, Always be mine [Chorus:] Viva forever, I'll be waiting Everlasting, like the sun Live forever, For the moment Ever searching for the one Yes I still remember, Every whispered word The touch of your skin, giving life from within Like a love song that I'd heard Slipping through our fingers, Like the sands of time Promises made, every memory saved Has reflections in my mind Hasta Manana, Always be mine [Chorus] Back where I belong now, Was it just a dream Feelings unfold, they will never be sold And the secret's safe with me Hasta Manana, Always be mine [Chorus x2]

For those wondering why there are suddenly so many german comments: German TV music channel VIVA had it's last airing on Dec 31. 2018. Starting in 1993 it lasted 25 years and was often more beloved then MTV, especially since (unlike MTV) it still aired music during the late 2000's. So yeah this song with Viva in the title and the melancholy sound is kinda fitting.

в 1976 г.). ❤❤❤❤🎉😊

So different from other Spice songs, which makes it stand out. A sad, melancholic ballad about appreciating what you have and live for the moment cause it will be gone sooner than you think:( And what makes it better is that Mel B, Scary Spice, delivers the final lines like a monologue in a low voice giving us the chills, proving she can in fact sing. What a gem of a song!

I remember when I first saw this video and heard the song, I didn't really understand what was happening and was always tearing up, feeling sad. Guess what? Here I am, 26 years of age and I stumbled upon this video totally random, watched it and teared up again. Ain't even ashamed of admitting it, we all act all cool and stuff but inside we are all human and it's a basic human characteristic to be emotional. Also I finally understood the concept of the video and the meaning of song which made me even more sad... I lost a friend at a young age. It was hard at first but now I let it go because I know he'd want me to carry on and achieve the dreams we had when we were kids. Awesome song.

I was raised in a middle eastern county, thus I did not grow up listening to this song. Then what does this feeling of nostalgia come from? This song carries a lot of people's emotions. It made them go through rough times and gave them courage. I hope it also gives me the courage I need. Love from Iran❤️

Music has the power to do anything and everything. It is a shame some people are not allowed to listen to music, i assume because it stimulates there mind, body and soul. When all else fails there is always a song or a melody that can lift you up, bring you down, shake you up and all around. Nothing stimulates the mind, heart, body and soul more than listening to music that we like....

This is my favorite Spice Girl song but it's so painful to listen to now. I was in the 8th grade when it was released and had just got news at my best friend's house that my uncle had been in a car accident and not expected to make it. My friend grabbed me & held me tight as I sobbed waiting for my parents to come get me. This song was playing as she held me up and rocked me. My uncle made it & is now 51 but with severe brain damage and has the mind of a child. Nothing was ever the same after that moment in time while Viva Forever played.

For some reason it really affected me back then and the memory stuck with me for years, sometimes I'll remember that feeling i felt as a child, it was a feeling of emptiness and sadness. I tried to look up the music video for years but I didnt know the name of the song or who it was sung by. But this came up in my reccomended and I was honestly speechless, after years of looking I found it. Watching it brings back that one memory I never forgot for some reason.

Never that big a fan of Spice girls but this is by far my favourite one they ever did. Such a beautiful song. Yet so sad, it’s like the memories of a life that never was. Whether by fate or how different our lives would have been if we’d been born into something different. All the chances you don’t take or that never appeared, the idea that one change of circumstance and you could have a different life entirely and be with other people. It’s like a love song to the soul mates who never met or not even about love- they’re just dreams and experiences that never existed. The dreams that only exist in our imaginations. And a part of us will always be waiting for the lives we never had.
