It is a mushroom (rather a macrofungi) and it's botanical name is Geopora arenicola (Lev.) and belongs to Family: Pizazaiaceae and it is called Kundi in local paralance in chenab Valley especially in Bhaderwah and Cup Mushroom in English. It is almost found at an altitude of 1300-3000 mts.The mushroom is cooked as a vegetable to cure the constipations according to the folk and ethnic traditions.
