Ladak is a state leh is the capital city of ladak.. also kashmir and ladak is different states. Kashmir has no connections of culturally or anything. There is no Muslims in ladakh. It's a Buddhist state. There is only hindhus and budist there..

This kind of Chakki is so common in our side of the country . I am talking about Himachal Pradesh & we use to visit our village in every winter holidays & enjoy these local flour mills. Once my elder brother got lot of beating as he threw some stones in between the water flow....as a result the entire atta turned in to pan cake mixture...😂 What lovely memories.

Since Ladakh lies to the north of the great Himalayan ranges it comes under the rain shadow area of the south-west monsoons. The southwest monsoons reach the himalayam mountain and shed a lot of rainfall. Wen da winds cross over 2 Ladakh dey becomes almost dry hence no rainfall occurs.
