Tonight I used my spider catcher to catch a big wolf spider (biggest UK spider, about the hand span of a baby) that was crawling across the kitchen floor. I keep it open because if the spider sees the movement of it opening, it will run, and wolf spiders run very fast. This technique always works, the brush is open so the spider has no idea what is going to happen I caught it very quickly and put it outside via the cat flap. Since using this amazing device, my fear of spiders has decreased, but I still am unable to pick one up in my hand.

I've had mine for about a year and so far it's been about a 50-50 success rate of actually catching critters successfully with this contraption. The bugs that appear most frequently in my apartment are centipedes. They are FAST and they also are kind of, well, fragile. Often, I am doing them a lot of harm in trying to capture them with this thing. It's a problem, fahsure.

Just came to watch this video before using one I received as a present then worked up the courage to grab a British House Spider. It worked! Would recommend pairing it with some kind of broom to sweep the spider onto a floor first. Didn't want to try to tackle it on a wall at head height!
