You know, when I first played this game when I was much younger I didn't understand mental health so this mission and the previous one didn't really make any sense to me, and I didn't understand Scorpion's behavior or the dialogue at all. Now years later though, I finally understand in hindsight. Scorpion is extremely mentally unstable, paranoid, and has a clear persecution complex that provokes him into attacking Spider-Man (he thinks Spider-Man will take him back to the labs that did horrible things to him). When Spider-Man told him he needs help, my younger self didn't get it, but now I do. Scorpion was a very sick man and needed serious professional help to deal with his mental illness.

Scorpion’s story in this game really gave me the creeps back when I was a kid, I used to think he was referring to the scorpion suit when he would say “it’s on me!” But I think he was just talking about the spider bots now. Regardless I was very aware of Scorpions plight while playing the game and wish we could see a similar take on this character in something new.

It's funny how Scorpion is the only villain in this game (that's not from the movie) that doesn't get webbed up for the police once you beat him. But in all honesty, I can't help but feel sorry for him. He just wanted to be left alone.
