Steps:
Design Preparation:
Create or choose the design you want to print on your T-shirt using design software compatible with your cutting machine.
Mirror the design horizontally since you'll be working with HTV.
Cutting the Vinyl:
Load the black reflector HTV onto the cutting mat with the shiny side facing down.
Use your cutting machine to cut the design according to the specifications for the material.
Weeding:
Remove the excess vinyl around your design using a weeding tool. Be careful not to damage the intricate parts of the design.
Preparing the T-shirt:
Place the cotton T-shirt on a flat and heat-resistant surface.
Preheat the T-shirt using your heat press or iron to remove any moisture and wrinkles.
Positioning the Design:
Place the weeded black reflector HTV design on the T-shirt, making sure it's centered and aligned correctly.
Taping:
Use heat-resistant tape to secure the design in place. This helps prevent it from shifting during the heat transfer process.
Heat Press Application:
Set your heat press to the recommended temperature for the black reflector HTV (refer to the manufacturer's instructions).
Once the press reaches the desired temperature, place the T-shirt with the attached HTV design on the heat press.
Close the heat press and apply pressure according to the recommended settings and duration.
Cooling and Peeling:
Allow the T-shirt to cool for a few seconds after the heat press cycle is complete.
Gently peel off the backing paper from the black reflector HTV. If the vinyl doesn't adhere properly, reapply heat and pressure.
Finishing Touches:
If there are multiple layers in your design, repeat the process for each layer, ensuring proper alignment.
Let the T-shirt cool completely before wearing or washing.
