Tobey and Andrew looked after Tom like a little brother. They didn't let him make the mistakes they made. Tobey made him realize that revenge wasn't the most important thing. Since he knew that revenge had in no way relieved him, he was burdened with an even greater burden. Andrew did not let Tom lose his beloved girl because he knew how it hurt. This is wonderful ❤️
@stormtraitor65452 жыл бұрын
Literally, that was the best thing about their chemistry. Tobey and Andrew fought their own inner demons, and they weren’t going to let a younger version (Tom) of themselves go through that and do something they’ll regret. Kudos to the people that made this film.
@speedy222222 жыл бұрын
I think one of my favourite things about this is seeing Toby Maguire's spiderman "all grown up." Like, he's a little like Spiderverse's spiderman before he died - fully realised, centred, the most emotionally mature out of the three. But he's also a lot humbler, you get some real zen master vibes from him. Even in the way he talks about Harry - it's played for comedy, but I think there's a nice nuance to the performance there. He still finds it hard to talk about, but he doesn't shy away from opening up to the people who need help. Even the "trying to be better". I bet you he thinks about the Venom suit escapade as his embarrassing teenage years, it's so great. ESPECIALLY with the way he refuses Andrew's spiderman to call himself lame. Like, he's setting a great example for Tom's spiderman by directly contradicting self-deprecation and building Andrew's up, but you also know he's been there himself. This dude's gone to therapy. I dunno, Andrew's spiderman definitely stole the show, but while Toby didn't bring a particularly "standout" performance like Andrew did, he brought the exact energy that made sense and was needed in that trio. Sometimes less is more.
@marcmontalvo7872 жыл бұрын
When andrew was doubting himself, tobey called him amazing (Andrew spiderman was titled the amazing spiderman). Not once. Not twice. Three times, like the three movies that should have been.
@mbovb0062 жыл бұрын
This is exactly why I was hoping MCU Spiderman was going to be a fresh live action take where he's already an adult like in his introduction during Civil War. He's so grounded and wise as an adult. He still has all the tropes and emotional turmoil a hero needs but he's more of a leader as he gets older. A mentor to others. MCU Spiderman turned out alright but I got bored of the High School schtick 4 movies ago.
@bethkrager65292 жыл бұрын
@@mbovb006 not a bad idea you have there. Plus in the comics, Peter becomes a teacher while still being spidey-man and frequently had Cap call him "the best of us". Tobey's almost monotone performance in the raimi films might have landed some groundedness to the mcu. Sadly marvel has lost me forever after their poor choices with civil war. And I wasn't thrilled with ultron. Wondering why im here? The algorithm.
@meistsemelius88462 жыл бұрын
I actually liked andrew's spiderman the least. Like I actually felt her the least immature of them all even more than Tom. Tom was the best one for me. But also he had more screen time so he was able to show case way more range. I love how Toby's fighting style with webs is precise aiming, with intention to finish strong. Andrews fighting style is rapid fire, not entirely accurate but it gets the job done extremely well. Tom's is definitely a more loose, free cannon with more intention based on swinging attacks and longer webs. Very cool
@Otakahunt2 жыл бұрын
I think thats quite reminescent of the enemies they had to fight aswell... Toby fought against enemies who you needed precision to beat, like octavius tentacles and goblin's bombs and so on... while Andrew fought against enemies you couldnt really fight directly like Electro and Lizardboi who is nimble and strong. Tom then again fights on a much grander scale with enemies who arent even necessarily trying to kill him (atleast in the avengers films, he ran interference more than "fight for your life" since those movies arent one hero shows) so he has to move longer distances faster... and also he fought a frekking AT-AT... i mean giant Antman. :P

0:46 I know its not meant to look that way but when Sandman asks Peter if he remembers him, on the bottom screen, it looks like Peter is trying to remember. What makes this funnier is Flint's face and the silence of just staring at each other. It looks awkward lmao

Awesome video man but at 6:05 I think you should’ve used scenes from the high school fight with the lizard from TASM1

Oh the last part, I thought you'd include when Max said 'there's got to be a black spiderman there somewhere' and include Miles Morales from the Into the Spider-verse. 😁
@SeanWheeler1002 жыл бұрын
But Max never met Miles, and no Into the Spider-Verse characters appeared in No Way Home. It could be an Easter Egg about Miles Morales from the comics, but this video is about showing the continuity of the two Spider-Man franchises crossing over with the MCU in No Way Home.

It just gave me so much joy each time the movie referenced scenes from other movies!

Now this is the reason why I feel like this movie could be a reboot/revival of previous Spider-Man films. Lol

Here I thought I would have spotted (or heard) all of these callbacks. I totally missed the Amazing Spider-Man theme during Peter 3's talk with electro.
@1neOfN0ne2 жыл бұрын
One of the funniest, more underappreciated lines in the movie is when Sandman and Electro are telling each other about the accidents that gave them their powers, Jaime Foxx says "Damn. Gotta watch where you be falling" 😆 I thought that shit was funny

The part where Andrew says 'it's just not in the cards for guys like us' while talking to Tobey, was a reference to a convo he had with his Harry Osbourne about the complicated relationship he had with Gwen.

The "Oh." finally makes sense. Norman was like: "Oh, Sandman was right."
