Peter Parker's relaxing European vacation takes an unexpected turn when Nick Fury shows up in his hotel room to recruit him for a mission. The world is in danger as four massive elemental creatures -- each representing Earth, air, water and fire -- emerge from a hole torn in the universe. Say what you will about Beck, but he went all the way with his cliche superhero. I mean, sent to another world, lost everyone he loved, has a chance to stop the same thing happening in a different world, driven by revenge, meets another character with a tragic backstory, and has an over-the-top fake out sacrifice. All he needs is a forced romantic subplot with uncomfortable undertones and/or no chemistry and we basically have an early 2000s superhero.

I knew from the begining Mysterio is a villain but through the movie they almost fooled me and made believe he could be a good guy specially when he sacrificed himself. And also a lot of people in the theatre dont know the comics. Gr8 tricks from the director.

I've never even heard of the Molten man until this movie. In what comics did he appear because every bit of Spider Man Media never listed him as one of his villains. Same goes for Mr. Negative.

Mr. Negative was mentioned in the Spider-Man Edge of Time video game before making an appearance in the Noir dimension of the Ultimate Spider-Man show. Then Negative had a larger role in the story of Spider-Man PS4. Edit: I forgot that Molten Man was also in the Ultimate Spider-Man show.
