On Martin’s complaint about Peter not having a sense of responsibility, in the beginning of the movie they show that his responsibility is starting to take a toll on him. That’s why he wants to just have a trip without any super heroics. When he gets EDITH, that adds even more responsibility onto him. When he hands EDITH over to Mysterio he even says that he’s not ready to handle something that big.

#1 rule in the comics: whenever peter parker turns down responsibility, bad shit happens to him. it's a curse. that thing stays true in this movie. peter turns down EDITH, his identity gets revealed to the world. this is how you get hyper-responsible adult peter. from harsh lessons learned when he was a teen.

29:44 Uncle Ben is indirectly referred to. With what Peter says to Tony in Civil War, and the old suitcase he has in this movie has the initials of Uncle Ben. And I do believe that his absence is being filled, Tony Stark is the "Uncle Ben" of this Spider-Man. Having said that, I would like they mention him a little more. At least in some meaningful conversation between Peter and May...

When Mysterio used his illusion power for the first time, they could have had two gravestones, one for Tony Stark and Uncle Ben. I was honestly surprised they didn't do that. I know it's a nitpick thing but it does annoy me that Uncle Ben is not more explicitly referenced. Stark should have left the glasses to Pepper Potts instead Peter Parker. Trusting a 16 year old kid instead of his own wife (who runs his company no less) makes no sense to me. If he wanted parker to eventually get it, then let Potts make that decision when she thinks he is mature enough (which obviously he wasn't.)

The Reason I think Peter Parker gave Tony's glasses to Mysterio is because, he saw Mysterio "sacrifice himself" to destroy the Fire Elemental. Mysterio said something like "I'm doing something I should have done a long time ago." then appears to sacrifice himself... but he survived. Making Peter think "Well if he will SACRIFICE HIMSELF for the World like Tony did... these glasses belong to him.".
@cafeterialoca5 жыл бұрын
Here's the thing. When Mysterio dies, Peter asks "Is this real?" Edith responds "All Illusions are down" They never said he was dead. He's playing dead cause Peter is that gullible.

Two things that I picked up from the Skrull reveal. When Peter talks about Captain Marvel Fury says (and I'm paraphrasing) "Do not invoke her NAME!". Also when Smolders and Fury were talking about the Kree at one point that felt odd until the reveal.

I love the film but I have a question. At the beginning of the film they show the people begin to disappear from the snap or blip as the students call it and then returned from the same spot when they disappear from 5 years later and it had me thinking about the post credit scene from Infinity War when they show a helicopter crash into a building because the pilot of the helicopter disappear also. So if everyone returned to the same spot that they disappear from would that mean that helicopter pilot return without being in a helicopter and returns in the air and if so that means he or she is actually dead now since he or she has fallen to their death since they are not in a helicopter.
@mused895 жыл бұрын
Low full price? That's harsh for such a clever and funny movie with another good villain (looks like Marvel has ended that curse). The post-credit scenes alone are well worth a full-price; I've never been in an audience that went from outright joy to an audible shocked-gasp so quickly before. Very high fill-price, nearly better than sex (which it might become when watching it again).
@drebone19865 жыл бұрын
25:10 Everyone is missing the important line that really changed the game, the skrulls Fury says that I didn't think the funeral was the right time to involve you or exchange phone numbers, this possibly could go back until the beginning or since Captain Marvel for pretty much everyone, maybe Stark is still alive in space and a skrull died in his place (doubtful but possible)
@TheSuperNats5 жыл бұрын
Cool idea but that’ll be a weak move to bring back Tony after all of this. It’ll make the MCU seem too soft and that they’re afraid of major consequences.

For me, this movie was a total blast from start to finish. As a fan of every Spidey flick since Raimi's original back in 2002, this film was easily the most uproarious and fun-filled installment yet. Add in face-melting twists aplenty as well as several satisfying action beats, and you have yourself a better than sex outing that never ceases to impress.

well if you look at this as the classic hero's journey, spidey giving the glasses away early in the movie could be the whole "refusal of the call" stage. That new suit he made himself with stark tech is what he felt he deserved in the moment, and by the end of the he's "earned" his inheritance / the glasses (which he's really gonna need now)

I'm in agreement with Korey: Quentin Beck being willing to kill his own staff for not playing along makes total sense for a narcissist.
