Yeah, that's what makes this game so special. It's the main selling point of this game: not only for fans who saw & loved the Raimi Trilogy like me & u, but also as a marketing strategy towards those who are new to the Spider-Man franchise who have not seen the movies yet. Likewise, the game's developers r basically helping Sony & Sam Raimi out by effectively introducing the Raimi Trilogy via this game (And it worked).

OMG ! I remember playing this a lot... I used to know a lot of the secret places where XP and special powers stones were hidden I think in bushes and breakable items , and there were some branching gates that contain side missions you didn't have to play to complete the level , I think I can remember them !

I remember buying every single ability , I webbed up mini bosses (the big fat ones) they get completely tied for a few seconds , and I could throw these big catapult web balls at enemies , there was this messy web blast (long circle in projectile mode), and I had the swing move early on in the game (long X) , it can move you out of difficult situation real fast... but I hated the poisonous green webbing it was ugly and unauthentic , but I couldn't remove it after purchase... I think you could zip towards edges you fell from and save yourself... man , goddamn it , the memories , I feel so weird now !!! MY CHILDHOOD !!!

This game is based on the Raimi films but from what I read it's set in a world similar to the raimi one where the same events played out except for the obvious difference being the villains didn't die. Also now that I'm older and I think about it out of all the places Venom could of been lurking in a bell tower was the worst place he could of picked for did he forget high sound frequencies are his weakness.
