I love the dynamic between the FF and Spidey. Johnny requests Peter to replace him because he’s basically the unofficial fifth member of the FF and is like family.

The Black Suit, the Iron Spider suit, the Future Foundation suit. The holy trinity of Spider-Man alternate suits that actually almost rival Spider-Man’s original suit. Also, it was good to have Spidey in the FF. They needed an everyman, 9-to-5 middle class point of view.

The thing I love about Valeria Richards, one of the reasons Doom is the best Villain in all comic books... She calls him, "Uncle Doom", and he plays that part without question.

I watched this years ago and just now realized that the 616 version of reed is not only the only version of reed not fixated on the idea of “solving the problem of everything” and stayed with his family but also the only version of reed trying to save doctor doom from something destroying his brain rather than how the other reeds just fried the brains of their doctor dooms. There’s prob a plot point in this next idea but i thought it would’ve been cool to have reed or the surviving reeds open the portal to anihilis and have them go into the dimension where the mad celestials are and have the wave of billions of bug creatures fight the giant space entities? I also just fw seeing Spider-Man interact with the Marvel Universe in stuff that’s not his comics. He comes off more curious, bright, open minded and laid back.

Spiderman is like that annoying kid that visits all the time , but everyone eventually comes to love him. The Human Torch and Spiderman used to annoy each other all the time , with a kinda competitive friendship where they would race each other across town to see who was faster. That is one of the things that made the Fantastic Four one of the best reads was that no one got along with each other except for maybe the invisible woman and the human torch because they where brother and sister. Yet they still all worked together . You only see that dynamic now with Dr Doom being like family.

I remember thinking and getting excited about there eventually being a Doctor Doom version of the _Council of Kangs/Council of Reeds_ when this book was coming out. I even thought, "It HAS to be called _'The Council of Doom'_ (not DoomS) because it's so perfect sounding... We got it as we all knew we would, because it was inevitable with how important the _Council of Reeds_ was becoming to the story- But then Hickman STILL was able to "Pull a Hickman" and make it WAY better and far more interesting than I imagined... By making THIS _Council_ unique- and not just, yet another, interdimentional Circle Jerk of Variants of its namesake. _The Council of Doom_ being made up of different people is the only reason it worked and didn't implode immediately like its predecessors... It was really cool seeing Reed, his father, and his daughter--three generations of the Richards Family leading the charge TEAMED UP with Doctor Doom. Also, it's obvious that if Doom created a Kang/Reed style _Council_ instead of one like this... Or would implode faster than the other two as ALL of the individual "Dooms" would be obsessed with proving that THEY are the "True Doctor Doom"... Which would go no where as, of course, they would all be right... And wrong.

I was just reading the trade version of this volume and I was really confused why Susan had curly hair during the battle at the peak of Old Atlantis. I was like, damn I really like what she did with her hair. But then I realized it was a really cleaver design choice on Barry Kitson’s behalf because the page before they were underwater, then it dried out which makes so much more sense.

I think it's nonsensical to allow Doom on the team. Even if his goals are temporarily aligned, he'll remember everything from all the access he had as part of the team and could use it against them (and everyone else). Restoring his intelligence will always be a terrible idea. If they needed to destroy the counsel of Reeds - why not just use 1. Franklin Richards 2. Current Reed Richards 3. Valaryia 4. Susan Storm 5. Sentry 6. Dr. Strange; and 7. Adam Warlock They didn't need Doom.
