@@jilly4054 No. Having finally played the whole game, I believe that the reason why the animations are so good is actually a combination of things. Mainly the fluidity, variety and speed of the animations and the player input. The animations are presented in a very realistic way, since Miles is relatively inexperienced with web slinging and air tricks compared to Peter, he is shown to actively fight against his own previous decisions, and seems like he's genuinely improvising his next move on the spot which creates a feeling of adrenaline and excitement to see what you can make him do next. He also seems to be surprised by how fast his next swing is, and reacts accordingly in the way he holds his 'webline'. While Peter's swing animations are randomized and more rigid, Miles' swing animations are all based upon player input. It's genuinely thrilling to listen to the fantastically scored adaptive music change every time you decide to combine air tricks to make several unique looking air tricks, or turn an air trick into a unique stylish swing animation, or preform a free fall combined with an air trick. You can even combine air tricks, then quickly turn that into a unique swing animation based off of the several air tricks you preformed, then preform a trick/freefall, then turn that into another completely unique swing animation. Hell there's even an animation for when you preform an air trick and hit the ground. You don't land with a superhero pose, you just fall flat on your face, or back, or roll onto your side. Also the game's graphics help so much with this, the lights reflecting off his suit which also has folds that flap in the wind based on how fast you go, combined with the snow in the game that catches onto his suit and reacts to Miles' footsteps and when he fails a trick. (SPOILERS) There's a point in the game where you unlock multiple Venom attacks and if you use these attacks while swinging it unlocks a completely new way of traversing the environment that you can of course combine into each other to make your web swinging more visually exciting and fast as hell. I know you prolly wrote your reply referencing that terrible IGN quote, I was just giving an example of what he should have said. In my opinion, Game journalism is a joke and always has been. It's run by people who are either bad at videogames, don't know how to review videogames, or just don't like videogames.

It's pretty unique to Miles and quite hard to do; you need to set up a backflip by holding back and square, but then twirl the left analogue stick to the side at the right time mid backflip to begin spinning upside down. Then, if you sling a web at just the right time, Miles will swing out of the maneuver with style. 💪🏾 🕸🕷
