Spider-Man the Animated series introduced the Web Slinger to an entirly new generation - both on television and in the action figure aisles. The original toys released in the 1990's were spectacular - they brought great sculpting with fun play features and showed why Toy Biz was the top producer of action figures at the time. Now, 30 years later, Hasbro has reproduced many of these animated style characters in their 6 inch Marvel Legends line. How do these new Retro Spider-Man figures match up with their vintage counterparts? I really love this retro line, i love how the toys resemble their cartoon counterparts much more when compared to the 90s figures (except the spider-armor one...that looked like the armor suit from the ps4 game) I'm greatful that this line even exists! i never thought in a million years that they would make action figures based on the 90s cartoon ever again...hope they make action figures based on Spider-Man unlimited, Spider-Man: the new animated series and spectacular spider-man after they finish this line but that unfortunately sounds too good to be true.

@@CarbonScoring hasbro has massively improved from what it was back in 2008, imagine if they made spectacular spider-man figures today with their latest technology, they'd blow their older spectacular spider-man toys out of the water! just think about the improved sculpting, painting and articulation.

26:48 as a kid I had this scorpion with one major difference: I had the purple variant. If you put it in water, the purple turned blue! It was an obvious nod to his PS1 appearance

The retro lines are great! They deliver pretty great repaints and new sculpts too! I love all the different card backs they're doing for all the original toybiz lines like xmen ff ghost rider iron man and the og marvel superheroes!

I like the retro carded Sandman....but to me, the Marvel Select Sandman is the best Sandman figure out there, and it scales great with legends because Sandman can make himself bigger.

I have all the figures in the retro line and love them but the VHS two packs are even better. I like the cell shading on the Symbiote Spider-Man. The Doc Ock is my favorite and I own every Doc Ock ever released in Legends. We NEED a Chameleon Robbie VHS 2 pack.

Honestly prefer it without the grid. All they take liberties (well most, Ock and GG are darn close to TV). Some of the ones like Kraven look simply terrible because they are but my gripe is Scorpion who isn't nearly as hulking as he should be. In the show he stands behind Spidey and you see he is taller and his broad shoulders overshadow spidey greatly, and in the PS1 game he slams spidey around like a tree, yet the figure is so slim and makes him look weak. Otherwise he would be perfect
