Sam destroyed Peter, a complete whining crying whooz in the movie while Mary Jane was not the independent confident lady but a fragile girl believing in white princes on horses. Gwen Stacey is the love of Peter Parker but was just displayed like a stupid blond photomodel secretary. Let's not talking even about The only worthwhile characters are the green goblin in part 1 and doc. Oc in part 2 Part 3 I switched off after 15 disgusting minutes of a walking Peter parker like a boyscout with that crap smile on his face, adored by NY. That is so disconnected from the comics. You can clearly see the hands of Sony in this failure. How can you name this infantile crap a masterpiece. I wonder if you have ever red the classic series or just Compare it to the modern crap comics as well. What is a masterpiece and art is the ending scene in amazing Spiderman part one where Peter fails to save his beloved Gwen Stacey in the belltower.. that is pretty much close to the original scene and is beautifulyl crafted. I think that scene is better then the slimey crying glamour fairytale boring with crap what Sam produced in 3 movies together. Again...he admitted that he failed years later and at least that was the best thing he did. Nuff said and rest my case.

I like Tobey’s spider sense, it’s so cool, I like how it hones in on all the possible dangers and then finally focuses on the most dangerous one. I also like that it’s different from Andrew’s and Tom’s and vice versa. Like Tom’s is more ambient and sudden like he’s unsure and then he trusts his instincts. Andrew’s is sort of like Tobey’s but it seems more sharp and everything around him is frozen so he himself can assess the situation and has all the time he needs to come up with a solution

Sami Raimi brought something about Spider-Man to our hearts that no other Spider-Man film can accomplish . The visual effects were all practical, character and emotion like no other. Even though it was not truly faithful to the comic books but Raimi kept the theme of the comics books especially with the vital message, “great power comes great responsibility”

I read Bruce Campbell's biography of him and Sam Raimi and Sam's brother breaking into filmmaking (called themselves "the Michigan Mafia") with the Evil Dead movies. Bruce said Sam had a tendency to abuse his actors, as in the original Evil Dead film, when Sam strapped Bruce into a frame on the front of Sam's car (the same one seen in "Army of Darkness.") and drove like mad through the woods to get that "onrushing demon" effect. Sam kept it up in "Spider-Man" with Toby as well. When Toby falls and is hit multiple times by a book bag as people go by -- that was Sam laying it to Toby.
