I think Spider played more with the music and has ear for the different layers. While as Batalla mostly flowed through the music and reached for the kick and the snare.

I think batalla is more capable of dancing to beats with multiple elements because it seems like he can dance to all the beat parts simultaneously. Spider won the first round on the simplest beat but Batalla destroyed second round and imo barely won the 3rd

I like more dancers, during the dance which is impossible to explain right away, what exactly do you like about it. Calm people look at Alex The Cage and they are attracted by his geometry of movements and lines, and emotional people looking at P-Dog, Ben or Majid - one jumps, the other balances on the socks, the third and both, and it attracts them. So here, who liked that Battala is floating in the music (in a good way) and in the 2nd round singles out "suck bolt", and to someone like Spider puts the music out like crazy. Different characters of people - different preferences in dance

Batalla won cuz he's actually dancing across different layers of music. He's playing with the music in his own flow. Spider is sick no doubt but his stuff are sometimes fragments cuz he tries to catch every sound effect. In my opinion anyway

I'm a fan of batalla and I know he can pop and do some top rock/ rocking stuff, but I'd really hope more breaking are used in top level hiphop competitions instead of poppin things cuz technically breaking is the original/1st hiphop dance but ppl seems to not relate breaking with hiphop nowadays. (not saying using poppin and animation stuff in hiphop is a bad thing, just a lot of ppl in hiphop dance community are kinda ignoring breaking is a part of hiphop dance)
