I hate be one of those "Um, actually" guys, but this isn't the original "Black Betty", either. It was a "working man's song" which dates back to at least 1939, with the phrase "Black Betty" itself referring to either a type of alcohol, or fast cars/motorcycles, depending on the time period. As for an original author, it's most often attributed to Blues singer-songwriter Huddie "Lead Belly" Ledbetter, even though the earliest known recordings aren't by him. But the version most people are familiar with (and the version I'd assumed for years to be the original) is Ram Jam's version, released in 1977; most of the subsequent covers and takes on "Black Betty" are based on theirs. So, in a roundabout way, one could say that the "original" song the "Rayman: Legends" version is based on would be the 1977 version by Ram Jam. Edit: This version is still an absolute banger, I agree with you on that one :D

I tried to give him a solid moral framework and that he should never rush to judgement and look at a problem with as many perspectives as possible. Its caused and is causing him problems as his Mum (my sister) hates my guts and anything of him that reminds her of me is a trigger for her, and unfortunately for her he not only looks like me, but had a fair bit of my personality in him as well. Anyways, if your Uncle was anything like me I can easily say that you meant more than life itself to him and if there is any sort of afterlife going on after we pop our clogs that hes watching you with immense pride.
