Did you catch him in Bad Times at the El Royale 2018 ? He does not show up until later in the movie but he surprised me in that role and it's an excellent movie all round.

Chris Hemsworth really nails Abnesti's casual candor about the situation. I'm interested to see how faithfully the story is adapted, as well as how Miles Teller channels Jeff's linguistic ability in action.

There is something about the music score and the juxtaposition between events on screen that is extremely compelling. This looks really, really good.

MILES TELLER!!!!! I AM SO GLAD TO SEE HIM BACK!!!! Last time I watched him being a bad but good guy in the Divergent trilogy and him playing with his "enemy" in a romance film "The Spectacular Now" it's always great to see this guy act. Chris Hemsworth is great as well like he went from being "Son of Odin" and saving the world to destroying people's minds. Love it!

Anyone who hasn't read the short story, definitely go and check it out! George Saunders is an incredible writer. Definitely looking forward to seeing this. I love Chris and while normally not that into Miles Teller, he looks great in this and I'm intrigued.

If you want more Bad Guy Chris, I highly recommend Bad Times At The El Royale. Truly underrated thriller from 2018 where he plays a Manson-like cult leader...

I just finished watching this film and it was fantastic lots of different themes going on. I thought it was sci fi, dark comedy, drama and action either way I was entertained by two fantastic actors with an original script!

It's the insidiousness of his character I think. You can tell that the character wants to give off a selfless, kind, charming vibe and he exudes a sort of charisma but his actions are malicious, cruel and horrific. It's like watching movies about killers who pretend to be likable. American Psycho for example.

Love to see Miles Teller making a bit of a comeback! He had seemingly disappeared for a few years there after having been in almost every movie for a while. I always found him rather funny in the comedies that he starred in so I feel he's lowkey underrated. This little comeback is highly welcomed imo!

@@AmitZinmanVideo The Offer is the most underrated show on TV currently. Almost no one I know has seen it and it’s seriously amazing, and a large part of that is Miles performance as Al Ruddy. The supporting cast is pretty amazing too though

That might be one of the best non-fiction books (Ben Mezrich) Ive ever read, it is so unbelievable the fact that it happened is just insane, and they decided to make it into a screwball action-comedy leaving out a lot of the best parts. The guy who wrote it’s previous book was turned into The Social Network which is like a 9.5/10, would love to see War Dogs done right in that same vain…but then again David Fincher did TSN so prob wont happen haha

somebody mentioned "roles that don't dumb him down, like Ghostbusters". Actually, I thought he played that himbo brilliantly. He was among a cast of comedians that do this for a living & he was the one that made me laugh the most. Every time he gets a comedic role, I find his timing impeccable.

This is the perfect role for Chris when you’ve seen Bad times at the El Royale where he plays an eccentric cult leader with an American accent. Miles in this movie makes it even better. This is the content that needs to be greenlit.

The short story is amazing. Unfortunately the film diverges from the source material in ways that make it way more predictable and less impactful, in my opinion. Chris Hemsworth does a great job bringing Abnesti to life but it's not enough to carry the film.

@Ian Firdaus I'm not saying you can't do a TEASER a year before... and a less subtle teaser 6 months before.... with a trailer coming out a couple months before release.. I saw the teaser for The Dark Kknight a year before it's release where it showed nothing but a bat symbol, and joker laughing and that was enough... they could have showed TDK trailer 3 months before release and it would have done great. I'm talking about full trailer showing nearly the whole film a year before release. You're telling me people who rarely watch movies were more inclined to see ENDGAME because they saw it's trailer a year before? lol that makes literally no sense... they would forget about it considering they never go see movies... if they saw it a month before release, and everyones hyping it up on social media, saying they're seeing it, those people who rarely go might check it out.. they're not gonna wait a year. Also I care more about the masses have a greater movie experience, rather than caring about companies making more money.

Cabin in the Woods but with Chris playing the nerd, not the athlete. Also this is a good example of ideas from George Orwell, Ray Bradbury, Chuck Palahniuk and Alex Garland. Hope the director gets more recognition, I loved all of Kosinski's movies, Joseph is talented and visionary!

this just proves that when an actor/actress does one role for too long. It's quite refreshing to see them in a whole different genre of movie. Like how Daniel Radcliffe did Guns Akimbo and brought shock and amazement to audience.

Just watched the movie and I loved it. It was slow at first but pulled me in real hard halfway through and the last 20 minutes was a perfect example of building tension and paying off the rest of the stuff in the movie. Haven’t read the story it’s based on but I’m sure the film does it justice
