Yeah there is barely no sound effects in most of these cutscenes. I always noticed even with music, these scenes feel a bit "unnatural", and I suppose it must be from the lack of Sound Effects even with the music.

When Spider-Man 1 was released I was so excited for it I made a playlist of music (WAY in advance) to listen to while swinging. When I finally played the game and finished the intro mission, I turned the in game music down and started swinging to my playlist. I then proceeded to forget to turn the in game music back on and played the entire game without it. I was constantly thinking to myself "man this game feels really soulless. I didn't notice until the final boss.

Nah, it's really the lack of extra sound effects, like the glass shattering when the lizard leaves. Cutting out music during a scene really makes them intense IMO.
