The Simpsons and The Punisher are ALSO excellent games in this genre. Turtles in Time is good too but I really do like the Super Nintendo version more. Anyone who likes this game is too suck on nostalgia. It must've cost nearly 15 bucks back in the day to beat this fucking game cause of how many bosses they throw at you. You kill Doctor doom like 5 times and then once you think it's over, to make sure they get another 2 dollars out of you - they throw 3 or 4 Venoms at you too.

Hahahaha, I remember wasting a ton of money on both this and the Captain America & The Avengers game, but it was so worth it. I remember I didn't understand why Venom was hanging around Doctor Doom as far as the story went (this was like 1992), but it was still a lot of fun. Just hated the fact that your life bar in this was essentially was a timer.

this game was the shit back in the day. stupid Sega should have released this for the Genesis instead of that crapfest Spidey vs Kingpin. it would be nice if there was a compilation of old-school arcade games like this one, Simpsons, X-Men, Crime City, etc on the PS3 and X-Box. at least make them downloadable games

How do I shot web? The usual attack+jump combo, or just attack in the larger scenes, of course. Dangdest thing is that you could use your life-draining special even when your life ran down to one! Naturally, that would be the time some enemy would get that last blow on you....

xD my cousins have the original arcade machine of this in their basement, and its rigged so we can play without pay, but they always rig it back together when their friends come over so they have to pay to play :P talk about easy cash.

Also consider this is a Sega game. Hardly it could have been ported for the NES back in those days. Sega itself would have ported it to the Master System or the Mega Drive (rather, it developed Spider-Man vs The Kingpin for those systems).

not just that, you lose health by using your special attack and by jumping, so you lose health 3 ways, moving, jumping, and specials. so if you do all three at one you lose a heck of a amout of health.

I remember this game. You could be Spiderman, Namor, Black Cat, and I think Hawkeye(but Im really not sure about him. I have no diea who the main villain was, but there were alot.

There's definitely something wrong with my ROM. All of the bosses just spam one attack over and over again. Where can I get a version where their AI isn't screwed up?

Press both buttons at once, but it takes a bunch of health (not that it matters in mame since you can just add more quarters).

i was born in 1999 and i was lucky to managed to play some arcade games, heck i even managed to play the TMNT arcade game where i used all coins that i can find. GOOOOOOD TIMES! R.I.P the old arcade with TMNT and other good arcade games
