Led by the haunting voice of Ann-Sophie Hoyles since 2010 in Göteborg, Swedish quartet Spiders dips typically 70's rock'n'roll in modern and wildly electric moods, along choruses as beautiful as unbridled trucks dropped on a congested highway, and epileptic verses where guitars explode, drums are thundering and harmonica is shuddering. amazing! so simple but powerful! at first i actually thought it was some nwobhm band i never heard of. guitar leads are similar to pagan alter and that harmonica really brings everything together beautifully at the end. stay young, beautiful and true forever :)

They're not particularly stunning, and just a bit derivative, but quite laid-back and their sound grows on you. It was nice to see a vintage 70s Hayman drum kit in use. Hopefully Ricard Harryson does actually use the thing and it's not just a studio prop. I give them a thumbs up!

Well thanks man. Yes. I played on that kit and another Hayman with two rack toms for several years. Now I’m into old Imperialstar from Tama. To be honest I got fed up with the rack tom mount on my Haymans. It took us an hour for two people to set it the shit right every night haha. Cheers mate/Ricard

Okay, now I get why I don't get this. They're Swedish. The lyrics in their songs don't cut it, they sound awkward and don't roll off the tongue smoothly. ABBA was way better at English lyrics than these guys. The band is also too derivative. I like the music they're aping, but they aren't bringing anything original to it. They just sound like a lost record from 1975 that never made it. They have talent, but aren't showing any original magic.
