spraying the crown with aglossy brown or black base coat will make the gold look even shinier, since it will even out the surface.

I must not use E6000 properly cause it always takes forever to dry for me. These headbands are soooooo gorgeous and really inspiring to look at.
@cindyoreolover98735 жыл бұрын
Ik this comment is old but don't worry! E6000 usually takes 8 full hours to cure. If I'm gluing a large enough surface I usually dot a little bit of hot glue along with the E6000 so that it will hold it down

I have used this as well as the hand soldered filigree stampings crown tutorial to learn how to make my own headpieces, three of which are being used in a short film next weekend. I'm a HUGE history buff, and I love Renaissance era fashion, painting, jewelry and calligraphy, as well as rococo/regency fashion, Victorian fashion (although I'm more of an 1870s/1880s girl than an 1850s/early 1860s girl, lol) Tudor and Elizabethan fashion, and 1920s-1970s, especially the more midcencury mod stuff, and the later '60s and early '70s "Dark Shadows" "Adams Family" pilgrim collar type thing. I used to try and recreate dresses from paintings of various members of the court of Versailles in the 1700s, but I've been really busy with music the last few years until I got this job as head costumer for a short film that includes Renaissance scenes and contemporary ones, so I started researching some diy accessory methods, which led me to this channel and your blog. You have inspired me to start costuming for myself again for the first time in 5 years! I have also really enjoyed your dressmaking videos and blog posts, and I've actually learned a lot from you, and I'm 29, so your work and ingenuity is really impressive! Thanks Angela! Maybe one day soon you'll see some tutorials on my channel! Please continue the amazingly helpful and fun videos and posts!

Instead of a wet q-tip I use a pencil with a bit of sticky tack on the end. I prefer it because I can mod it into a point if using really tiny stones or I can pick up. 2 or sometimes 3 stones when doing large surfaces. I'm actually working on my third pair of rhinestone covered shoes. And E6000 is the best glue for that to
