The best powder to combat heat is broken quartz. It has a really high melting point and is really heavy, so it just sucks the heat out of everything.

Hey spike! Heat and Cool are good tools for small scale, but if you want to get thing to precise temps, or ridiculously hot or cold, use "prop" and enter a value then set it to a number, you can then use it as if it was any other tool, shape, size, rectangle, fill etc. It's also waaayyyy quicker.
