Hello Angels,
Well, after a very busy summer social season, it’s time to take a breath. My body has finally caught up with me and I’m taking advantage of this lull in events to recover and rejuvenate.
So, join me today as I chat through how I take care of my body as well as my mental health in order to sustain my hectic timetable! Leonora, I am 75 years old, but I love watching your videos. This one especially speaks to me when you say "Stay on your own path.... you cannot be anybody else!" I so agree with that. It has taken me many years to get to the point where I don't worry about what other people think... I am staying on my path and it is an absolutely liberating feeling. Yes, if you have been getting sick quite a bit it is most likely your body is being pushed too much. Burning the candle at both ends comes to mind. Since list writing is something you like to do, and I too must write lists, notes, I might suggest adding on the lists to include what you did address, not to stress over what someone has done or you haven't accomplished...yet, if necessary, but to recognize, and give yourself credit for what you have accomplished!! Add to lists, I do, " Be thankful for my life and accomplishments!!" It is much easier to think more is more and better, but that is not true. Learn to appreciate and love what you have. Yes, we are all one of a kind, but learn to also accept it is OK to say No and as corney as it sounds, it is true, if you have your health you have so much already. As someone who up until my mid 30s was a go, go,go type A personality my good health allowed me to do many things. But I got a huge gut punch in my mid 30s and became quite ill, got hit with chronic illness. My life as before ground to a halt and it has taken me some years to understand my limitations, how to adjust and plan ahead if I want to do something, go somewhere. I long, long ago came to terms with my body and life changes. Yes it could be looked at that much was taken from me but, instead of being miserable and asking why me, I learned my limitations, was so thankful I am still alive and just do my best everyday, and grateful for everyday. I also want to hugely acknowledge that animals played a Huge, huge part of me coping and adjusting to everything. All of my animals provided love, support and hugs. It has been proven, hugging your pet/best friend lowers blood pressure and creates a sense of calm and peace. I learned to tweak things along the way, good days and bad days, use a cane(s) or crutches if needed, wear flats instead of heels, wear heels just not as high as I once did. You adjust and make it work and look at the positive points or different plan life made for you and see what new or different avenues or worlds it now offers you. This approach can be applied to so many aspects in life, not just serious illness. So as Leonora noted, we are each unique lives, but remember your approach to it can help with how satisfied or happy you can be with it and don't let others dictate how or what you feel! Don't give them that control over your feelings. Hey, that power is only given to someone if you give it to them or allow them to have it. Carry on and you decide the best and happiest you❤ Whew! This comment was not completely my original thought but I guess I needed to say much more and with love to all. I am almost 70, so I have been through much in my life, both good and bad, wouldn't change too much. Every (negative) event in life has a lesson, just remember to notice it.❤

Taking care of yourself and your health is crucial to having a brilliant life. Finding the right balance for your individual lifestyle, including your physical, mental and emotional idiosyncrasies is paramount. It will look different for everyone so that lets everyone off the hook for even trying to compare to others. Do whatever is right for you! Just like what is right for me is to have chocolate after my protein and veggies... and perhaps even a carb of some sort with my protein and veg. 🤷🏻‍♀️😉😂🤣🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤷🏻‍♀️😂🥰 Some of us girls just require chocolate! 😋😘🥰 Bless you and all your efforts to get the best lighting and bouncing in and out of the rain for us. Your joyful attitude and laughter at being bounced about is such a great lesson to us all. Not a thing you can do to change the weather so you chose to change locations and keep smiling regardless that it might not be your first preference. Being able to turn a negative into a positive is so important. It’s good to get these reminders sometimes as we all can slip on our cranky pants/trousers every now and again. It’s a good lesson to know we have the power to reframe the negative into a positive as and when it’s needed! Well done! 👏🏻💗👏🏻 Last point and I’ll finish my very long chatty-chat... I think you were 100% on target when thinking of keeping the larger skirt size and having it altered to fit brilliantly! Very few of us are fit models or the exact sizes of the hundreds/thousands of different fit models used in the fashion industry... which makes it challenging to wear off the rack that fits to absolute perfection without a little assistance. I have found that often when cinching in with a belt on a skirt too large, it can make it look awkward with uneven pleats, bunches and tucks around the waistband looking like you borrowed an ill-fitting skirt from someone else. When you are fully blessed with gorgeous womanly curves and a small waist it is just a burden the very fortunate hourglass shapes must accept! 😉😆🥰 Your tailor/alterations expert is your best friend when wanting an exceptional fit in all of your clothing! 🧵🪡💗

A couple of things: first, I respect you so much for only promoting brands you have used and actually like. I follow 4-5 influencers in the UK. Some promote way too many products, some I have spent very good money on and was disappointed. They even have had to look on the packaging and became confused. I have become more savvy. Second, I too, absolutely love Holland Cooper and did a large order from here in the USA in December. Their quality is top notch. Third, you are beautiful and so honest about your figure. Some influencers are skeletal and its an ok look but size 6-8-10 is realistic not size 0. You cannot eat if you want to maintain 0. Fourth, I have written to you before and follow you faithfully. I am now 69, but have been extremely lucky with my skin. I lived in the " fast lane" for many years drinking and partying all over the US, Europe, and canada during my flying days. My first husband was aa Amercian Footballer like your dear Dad, for 10 years, and my 2nd an airline captain. I would take breaks like you are doing to try to keep a lid on my health. I do have some digestive problems over the last few years and had to give up alcohol for now. You are correct , " it's not as much fun" so here's to you Leonora! Can I just say I love that fireplace and the line of candles in a candlestick that can be easily moved for a fire - brilliant and that whole room is so tasteful and beautifully furnished and designed. Colour wise it is soft on the eye and I have cream covers that I can take off and wash but love that blue linen look on the high backed chairs.

Just wanted to say, I had had a couple of both wonderful and difficult years, my kin had broken out into a most appalling rosacea outbreak that lasted 18 months, I barely brushed my hair. Watching your videos somehow gave me the confidence to start to address these issues. My skin has cleared up, I use a proper cleanser moisturiser routine at night, Got the knots out of my hair, and even went and brought some Charlotte Tilbury makeup after going without for years. I know this sounds silly, but looking after myself more made me realize how stressed and depressed I had become. Some people turn to drugs, I let my hair get full of dreadlocks:-) Its easy to miss when you are in your 60's, but I just wanted to thank you for giving me the confidence to try

So lovely to see a chocolate bag and not black!! Hurrah! I think it is lovely. I have just bought a tan bag and loathe to give up my gold bag but I love a cross body bag. My bargain was Accessorise who are amazing too. I love the scarf and love coral lips. My gold bag was M&S and has lasted so long but I want a change and also bags get dirty inside and hard to clean. It is about what you can get in a bag and accessibility without everything falling out. I don't carry alot of make up but is amazing how much you carry with you.

Leonora you work hard & play hard - has to be done, but then have a bit of a rest & go again. You do show your true self on the vlogs - business woman, party girl - dancing on stage with Elvis or on the kitchen worktops - good for you. Getting enough sleep is a massive factor in your well being I feel.

I had a pencil skirt like that in my 20's, exactly the same material with a lovely gold lining and was so slim that it looked amazing but if you are a size 10 that is perfect - please don't try to be any less as you will lose your looks I feel. Who wants to be a size 8 with no female form? I love Holland Cooper and English brands and they don't seem to be able to put a foot wrong. My daughter will organise your wardrobe to perfection - has her own business and is trying to get off the ground and has done some amazing work. If you ever need a wonderful, immaculate re-organisation of your wardrobe she is the one. I have recommended Holland Cooper to her to contact re design also.

Leonora, you look so young, just like a teenager, in the more casual outfit! Please do a video on how to style the scarfes. I have plenty of Hermes scarfes but i only use them rarely! The boots from Holland&Cooper are my favourites!

Instead of dressing i use vinegars. I swim for at least 45 min 5 days a week and jazzercise 2 hours a week my phone is nowhere near me. Our weather is the same in NW Pennsylvania hot, humid sunny then rainy and cool

Lovely vlog Leonora. I’m definitely going to check out the Gold Collagen & the skincare. I used to take a powdered collagen & I believed I could see a difference in my hair but it was just so horrible even in coffee. I am interested in the skincare particularly because you said your mum loves it. I already love Holland Cooper & can’t wait to buy some of their jumpers & maybe a coat for next winter though would need to save up for that. Do you mind me asking where the sausages basket beds are from? I have just got a sausage puppy & would love one for her though would need to wait until she stops chewing. xx
