Very true. It’s so important to develop our own authentic selves, work on our weaknesses and address past trauma to be able to live contently before even thinking about a romantic relationship... because lord knows that person will hold up that mirror to you and if you’re not ready to look at the reflection then you better get ready! I like the analogy that you need to be a fully functioning car and your partner is the added extras... the heated leather seats, the built in sat nav... but you, as the car, are enough to get you from A to B. The extras are just a sprinkle of luxury, comfort and enjoyment.

One thing I truly understood in my last relationship was that, the way we love the other person, is how we want to be loved. It speaks tons on your love-language. How someone loves you, tells you how they want to be loved. This is so important. And if someone is treating you badly, on some level they believe they deserve that themselves. For sure won't be always the case, nothing ever is. But for my case, it was a humongous eye opener. Taught me so much.

HARDEST LIFE LESSONS PEOPLE HAVE LEARNED IN THEIR LIVES 1. Not everybody like you but doesn’t mean everyone dislikes you. 2. Not all things will work out the way you planned. 3. Sometimes they just don’t love you back....And most of the time it has nothing to do with you. You’re not worthless because someone you loved doesn’t love you back. 4. No matter how much you love the person if they aren’t right for you then you should leave. 5. Listen to the people who tell you what you don’t want to hear 6. Don’t take people for granted. You never know when they could be gone. You never know how much they man to you until they’re gone. 7. That sometimes being courageous is going to bed and saying “I I’ll try again tomorrow.” 8. Family isn’t always family. Sometimes family is never family. Your family are the people you care for and who care for you. Your family could be your close friends or your pets, anyone.

Or have you been sleeping around looking for potential candidates to be your “romantic partner” ? Just the truthful question without filter. Feeling bad is actually good. Its gives your mind, body and spirt the ability to change. When your happy , you don’t want change because your comfortable. Life is what it is. Good and bad go hand and hand

I vibe with this so much. For the first time in my life I'm comfortable being single. I spent my 20's jumping from relationship to relationship. Always depending on someone else for security, love and comfort, but never knowing how to take care of myself. I realized recently that I was in "love" for the wrong reasons and that I would never be able to be a good partner to someone because I didn't yet have a good relationship with myself. So finally, I am solo dolo, and loving it. I'm working on myself everyday to build a foundation of confidence, independence and strength. Maybe one day I'll meet my "perfect" person but in the meantime I'm loving my peace and quiet, alone.
@lynnmiller12873 жыл бұрын
i always compare love relationships to breathing. when we are in a relationship, we give (exhale). when we are single again, we give to ourselves (inhale) if you go from relationship to relationship, we keep exhaling, eventually we'll be drained emotionally. we need to take time in between relationships to inhale, to give to ourselves, to work on ourselves. you need both. and if you don't take that time to inhale, you'll keep having the same relationships, over and over bc we haven't healed yet, we haven't had time to figure out what didn't work in the last one, we didn't learn or grow. you need the inhale just as much as you need to exhale

Same. Over 2000 days together and now we both pursue different paths. It's been incredibly therapeutic for me to document this experience, the grief, the Love, the pain, the beauty of it all, and the power of your Self. It's a spiral we walk - there will be times we come back to a similar place with a different perspective, perhaps a different pain or appreciation as our Life continues... Writing, video diary, audio notes, art, dance, movement, music (the song, Lateralus, by TOOL articulates the spiral beautifully) tea, sunshine, nature. . . take what you need and find the peace that comes from getting to know this new version of your Self. Like Hindz said, you won't get "over it" but you will get "through it." You got this!

“The idea of marriage spawns out of love.” Personally, this resonated with me so much. I was so happy being single and never thought I would ever want to get married (and I never expected anyone to fill that void). Now, after being in a healthy, loving relationship for a little over 3 years, the want for marriage has grown. I still don’t expect my partner to fill a “void” but I see marriage as being exciting and a sort of reward for the love we’ve grown together.

I have been grieving over my last love for a very long time. She had a very big impact on my life. The other night I went to bed sad, depressed and I felt lost. I had about a dozen dreams. One dream stood out the most to me. I was walking through the woods and leopard jumps out and it surprises me. It starts to circle around me and growl. My first instinct was to run so I ran. As I’m running I look back and I see the leopard jump and pounce on me. Right before it hits me it disappears and I wake up. I feel the dream was a realization for me. I feel the leopard represented my fears, the feelings I cannot seem to let go of. Me trying to escape my true self. It was almost like a wake up call for me. I feel like I’m ready to start my life journey to find my true self. My happiness. My peace.

I love this. My breakup was 8 months ago & it’s what got me on this self development journey. Now on month 8, the healing is really starting to kick in. Self love & just focusing on myself is what is helping me. Thank you for the reminder of all the love around us than just a single person. Everything you say about waiting to date I agree with 100%. We need to fully heal our past.

The part where you said "don't demonize your ex, even if they did you wrong" really resonated with me because I tend to do this almost a year later.

Their is so much SHAME for me if I give my body to a man and the relationship doesn’t work out . I am hypersensitive about body count. I am learning to wait . Your words on lust versus love is very helpful

Man....I've watched like 15 of your videos in the last two days. I can't tell you how calming you have been to me. Thank you for your beautiful words. Learning to grow and understand that I'm exactly where I'm suppose to be. Yes my relationship failed. Live love and learn. I know this path is my own and thank you for giving me a virtual tea. I really needed it.

I’ve had the problem, healed from my past and went into a new relationship but then got wrecked hard. You can give someone all your love but if they haven’t healed themselves before they’ll maybe hurt you and you find yourself wondering why are they doing this? But yeah... it all starts making sense... thank you Hindz ❤️🙏🏻

Well, it’s been a little more than a year after my ex broke up with me. 3 years, first love, thought he was the one. We were young (still are) and dependent. It became toxic: no friends, no hobbies, no me time, self sabotage. A year later it’s when I’m truly starting to enjoy my life as a single young woman, I made more friends than ever in my life, began exploring WHO I am and what I like by doing things I love: painting, reading, gardening, exercising, meditating...a year ago I had a boyfriend but I was disconnected from myself, full of ego and fear. And what I though back then it was the world’s worst punishment, I can see now it was a divine blessing. Let’s talk more about love! Bc fear of opening to someone else, fear of losing him again, fear of abandonment, fear of solitude and fear of love are still there. It’s hearing you talk about BELIEVING in love what makes me feel hopeful again ❤️🌷

This came at the perfect time thank you 🤍 I‘m going through a break up and still dont know if I want to continue being in contact with him or not since I‘m the one who said I need space. I feel a real connection with him but idk if its worth it or not. I now know that I can take things easy and dont need to rush to find an answer. Everything that needs to happen will happen and I can trust that. And we all know in hindzsight everyting gonna be alright :)

I've learned that every relationship I've ever had was an experience I grew from. Maybe they're not "failed" relationships but just "past" relationships. You two were drawn to each other at that moment in time for a particular reason. I feel like you learn more about yourself in every relationship you have, it's never about the other person and what they couldn't do for you, it's only about you, how you see yourself, how you learn, grow, and change. I bless all those past relationships and I'm thankful for the experience they provided. Thank you for your wisdom Hindz, much love!

For me, love has always been something I want the most & simultaneously fear the most. I have deeply ingrained fear of men & being cheated on but it’s something I’m working on. You can’t control what your partner ends up doing but you can decide to try your best to pick a good partner, & you can decide how you react if the relationship ends/goes south. Sometimes things aren’t meant to be forever and I’m learning to be okay with that.
@idreesk78262 жыл бұрын
I have that same fear with women. You can really work on it though. Mine is worse because I don't just fear cheating but more innocent flirting behind my back as well. I'm doing my best to change that perception I have.

I really needed this today. I'm at the beginning of my celebacy journey in order to avoid that lust that just left me feeling so empty and depleted, and it's been hard because I crave intimacy, but I know right now I need to be single and work on fostering the connection with myself.
