Probably the worst dreamworks protagonist. They barely give any reason for us to care about Oscar as all his motivations are selfish, but it acts like we should want him to be famous. If they cut out the part where he wastes the money and just have be stolen or something then I would understand his choice considering he was about to die, but he wastes himself and loses any sympathy for what happens next.

I cannot stress how deeply DreamWorks thought this through. See, Oscar is a bluestreak cleaning wrasse working at a 'whale wash'. There are cleaning stations in reefs where rays and sharks stop by to get cleaned. This movie is fish pun upon fish pun. The lore goes deeper than the Mariana trench.
