Welcome, you can also combine the mirror effect with the zoom to create in or out transition, since mirrors act as a tile

If you've seen zoom in or out transitions and wondered how they are done, they use the same mirror technique to expand the image in order to hide the black borders when animating

I personally skipped the Mirrors entirely and it still looks great

Mirrors are there to hide black spaces when rotating the image, otherwise it's fine

i was so confused to why you need to mirror and replicate, then i realized when you spin the video by itself, its going to have black spots. So, replicating and mirror can help with that. I was just about to do the spin transition without doing the first two steps....

It won't work properly if you add all effects to one adjustment layer

So here's something weird: I can't get the harsh lines to disappear. I know this works, I've done this exact effect before but for some reason, the program is only applying the effect to the little squares rather than the whole clip. I've tried nesting and importing a new sequence, the works, it's just not working. I wonder if it has to do with an update? Your advice would be greatly appreciated! This is driving me insane!

I've just confirmed that it works fine in the latest premiere version, try downloading the project file and use the adjustment layers from it directly by copy pasting

Sure, just change the values to negatives instead of positive ones. That way the video moves anti clockwise

Values are different for vertical videos, try to get as close as possible

You can just duplicate adjustment layers and move them over to a different cut, it should work fine

You can either save the effects of each adjustment layer separately as a preset or import this project with the adjustment layers into another one and then copy and paste adjustment layers onto a different timeline
