Thanks for the video. I notice you have a tachometer mounted on the spindle as I do on my old Southbend. How did you get the magnet to stay on the spindle. I've tried glue and epoxy but neither seem to work very long. Thanks again, I am enjoying your projects.

You are probably familiar with the two threaded rings or nuts that are used for adjusting the pressure on the conical spindle bearings. The outer threaded ring acts as a locknut. I removed that and made a copper washer to fit between the two rings. This washer was made with a lug of copper plate protruding. A small neodymium magnet was wrapped in place by folding the copper lug around it. I hope this helps and I am glad that you have found the videos interesting.
