Unfortunately, it seems like they got rid of the lore of this mod which leaves me curious about what happened to some of those polos. There were also a few that didn't have any sound for some reason. Either way, solid spook! Would try again!

The one glitchy polo was a bonus in the Orin Ayo remake, but it's originally from Grayscale.

So here’s some added context This mod used to have lore as you stated and it was rather interesting, however, after another KZbinr (Neester) gave a not so stellar opinion on this mod’s story, the creator removed all of it in response. If you do want to know what happened in the mod, I recommend those to watch reviews of the older build

I love Greyscale but seeing how much spontaneous change came from someone else’s negative review just because they didn’t grasp the lore documents is a bit… disappointing. Sounds have changed that didn’t need to change and the lore aspect is completely missing now. Good video and mix as always, just wish they didn’t tweak the mod this way, makes it feel hollow Just saw the Neester polo. Definitely a mature way to respond to the review LMAO, it’s such a shame the devs took this turn

Yeah, same. It always saddens me when a creator does a massive overhaul in changes due to just one negative review in a huge sea of positive reviews/praise. Only on rare occasions do the changes they make are actually much better than the original.

@@l-r9000 yeah, not knocking him for it, the lore could've used some work, but now the whole mod feels like a huge downgrade from the hidden gem that it was. And the ironic part, the neester polo actually has a nice sound to it. Could've easily made it a bad sounding joke polo if the creator really wants to rub salt into the wound.

The whole point of the lore of this mod was that it was from the point of view of effect 5. He got dropped into this place and it was his confused attempt at making sense of all those around him. The mod was so good before and now it’s but a shell. I really hope you can find the old version somewhere and just play it for your own enjoyment. So sad that this happened simply because a popular KZbinr didn’t understand the premise of the lore 😢

Now I understand that Neesters reviews sometimes aren’t the best, but this was handled HORRIBLY. They didn’t even communicate with their own team, specifically the voice of the main character in the mod. I’m sorry to say this but you can compare this remake to the puppychan old art vs new art situation. It hurts to say but it’s true. Some polos aren’t even animated anymore. There’s a polo of neester which was just plain unnecessary. This remake just seems like it was made as a joke. And I’m pretty sure that was NOT the purpose or greyscale limbo. I get they’re upset but one review leading to this??? I just don’t understand it

I agree to that too.I think Neester is giving his honest review.He is quite quick to critics and stuff but the creator labelling him this way is just not thoughtful at all.I am not that of a big fan of Neester but I have completely understand him in his review.The problem is that lore can sometimes actually help the general view of mods e.g;Orin Ayo but there are times when horror mods don't actually need a lore like the mod"The Slaugher" which creates mystery to what happens in the mod.Adding a vague or underbaked lore could hurt the rest of the mod so the blame obviously now goes to the creator cause now because of just one review he completely rehaul the mod to the point that it is just downgrade from the original remake.He could have just not do the lore at all which will greatly increase the mod's reputation to the public.

Please try to understand the fact that no one thinks his word is law and the thing that actually happened was that the creator of grayscale limbo took a childish and petty approach on "updating" his mod. It's not Neester or anyone else's fault for criticizing a mod with brutal honesty; It's the creator's fault for not taking that criticism well.

Posted this before I had watched the video. So disappointed with what this mod turned in to. I had been requesting it for months and now it’s just this off beat, rundown, bland version of what it use to be. Please Azarus, find an old version or watch a video on the old version just so you can see what it really was. Love the content. So sad that this is how you get to portray this mod 😢

Honestly, I got kinda pissed when I saw that the dev made a polo of Neester that said that his reviews suck. It's kinda immature in my opinion. The dev is acting like Neester completely shat all over the damn mod. Neester *never* necessarily said that the mod sucked, he just didn't understand the lore, given how vague it was. Nester enjoyed the mod, but he didn't like how most of the characters were basically just "Beats me!" in the lore, but that doesn't mean he hated the mod altogether. And I don't know if the dev just skipped to random parts of Neester's video or what, but Neester had a really good review, at least in my opinion, and he openly said that he enjoyed the sounds, the character designs, the animations, etc. Neester didn't have a bad review, so I'm not sure why the dev is making him seem like a bad person. It was just the lore that confused him, because the lore had too many characters that were left as a mystery. His pinned comment on his review said that he took an L for not realizing that the n/a meant the characters just didn't die. His final thoughts on the mod were LITERALLY, "I gotta be honest with you, man, I didn't really care for this, practically at all. *I feel so bad about that*, because this was hyped up, like, this is a *big deal, and not just some dumb shit thing. The visuals, the animation was probably, no joke, the best I've ever seen in any mod, period. Like, this is, like, S-Tier shit. The way it looks, the vibe of it, the animation, the colors, the designs, all of that is fucking chef's kiss. That is amazing.* (not adding the rest.)" I don't know, though. What do you guys think?

mopple making the neester polo was honestly understandable to me. kinda weird how neester reviews the worst horror mods ever and say its the best thing ever. yet when there is actual, good, and professional mods like LIMBO he always find one tiny little nitpick that he ends up rambling on about how it ruins the mod. This… I’m sad this is where Greyscale went. My poor Limbo being has been turned into a moth and the TV doesn’t sound like background noise anymore (I’ll take Spear looking normally though). I understand that sometimes Neester’s opinions are outright shitty. Greyscale’s creator should’ve kept it the way it was. The original was perfect, and now it just feels so empty without any lore and slightly changed characters. One bad review should not shine brighter than thousands of good ones. Otherwise, the characters that didn’t change are amazing.
